There are only 3 degrees in the OAK system and this describes the final steps. There will be one more post that describes a healing and prosperity circle where small groups of people can work together magically for various purposes.

The OAK Energy Ball Meditation connects a person to Source energies in a very powerful way. This connection with Source allows one to channel an infinite amount of spiritual energy into themselves and into the earth. This spiritual Source energy is different from kundalini energy, but both are very attracted to each other. Kundalini energy is organic life force energy and Source energy is photon energy.

The OAK Energy Ball Meditation opens an energetic pathway through the person from the highest levels down to the lowest levels where it contacts the kundalini energy and forcefully combines with it. So the conclusion of the OAK Energy Ball Meditation leaves off at bringing spiritual Source energy down to the earth or bringing fire down from heaven.

After completing the OAK Energy Ball Meditation tap into the spiritual Source energy and let it pour through you down the spine and into the core of the earth. You can feel this energy pouring down through you. Keep this connection open with the intent to fill the entire earth to overflowing with this energy. It may take a long time but the earth will fill up with this energy and you will feel it starting to back up into your body again. Continue pouring Source energy into the earth and force this overflow energy back up your body, through the various chakras and then out the top of the head at the crown chakra. Sense this energy go back into the light, back to Source, where it originally came from.

What you have just done is create a two way circuit for spiritual Source energy that connects your soul to both Source and Gaia or earth. This is the completion of the OAK 3rd degree.

Linking with another person is much the same. You both sit facing each other and do the OAK Energy Ball Meditation together so that an energetic portal is activated. Then one person initiates the other by placing their hands over the head of the other person and pouring Source energy down into that person and through that person into the core of the earth. Once more let that energy fill up the entire earth and begin to back up. Continue pouring Source energy into the person until it rises back up through their body, out their crown chakra and back to Source. You can tell when this is finished. Then the person just initiated repeats the process to the other person in a joint initiation and linking. This creates a permanent soul bond between the two individuals where they can energetically assist each other in time of need or in magical workings.

The development of the soul and its powers consists of the creation of all 118 sparks of awareness, one for each possible element. As such, each spark of awareness is the same as any other spark of awareness and it takes the same amount of time and energy to develop a spark of abstract mental energy as it does to create a spark of etheric energy. All a person can do is generate the energy to create one divine spark of awareness at a time.

This development can be focused as in philosophical study or working out at the gym or it will automatically find it’s own proper place one divine spark at a time. These OAK initiations can open a person up to Source and link people together so this process is faster and more powerful, but in the end each person must physically generate the energy for all 118 divine sparks to complete their own soul body and half of that energy must come from opposite sex partners in one way or another.

I’ve been enjoying the four day weekend and thought I would spend some time catching up on Gaia’s ascension. I checked out my usual information sources and to my annoyance couldn’t find anything interesting or useful. So I decided to check things out for myself. I’m normally a step ahead of the channelers anyway since I function on the lower planes and they don’t.

Everything was energetically stuck! Gridlock everywhere! Now one of the things I have issues with is gridlock. Something’s got to give and I can usually make something give when I put my mind to it. So I’m messing around in the astral pushing and pulling and prying around. I was also asking for intel and updates on what was going on with Gaia’s ascension. Not getting much for answers I shifted to checking in on my own posting activities to see what affect they were having in the big picture of things.

I noticed the energies going out like a tentacle and then realized it was a worm hole that was plugged by some black energy which I tried to eject. This is all basic shaman work by the way. The black energy became hard and shiny like a gemstone and wouldn’t eject. It remained embedded within the lighter astral substance. As things became clearer and more in focus I realized that it was like a city or a dome that contained a city beneath it. It was a protected space.

Now I never got the impression of it being bad even though it was black. Pure black energy is one of the energies that I work with. I’m going to back up a bit and explain that when I push and shove like that I’m pouring Source energy into something so that the vibrations rise enough so that something happens. Basically forcing a resolution but not really taking sides, just allowing the rise of vibrations to do what it needs to do. There are times like this one when I don’t understand right away what is going on until the energies clear things up.

So this round black gemstone like substance was not being ejected with the rise of vibrations but becoming more firmly embedded within the astral substance and becoming more clearly defined. That’s when I realized that the black energy represented my own soul group, those fallen angels that have graduated, ascended and returned to Source bringing their pure black earthly energies with them!

As things fell into place I realized that the gridlock was broken. What had caused the grid lock was the resistance of the light workers to the dark but pure energies of the former fallen angels. The light workers didn’t realize that we were all on the same side but as the vibrations kept increasing things fell into their rightful places.

The former fallen angels who had returned to Source were energetically balanced and capable of existing at far higher vibrations than the light workers who were more polarized. My soul group was taking its rightful place in the ascension line up! The end of my vision showed the end of that particular conflict.

I can only summarize by saying this vision showed that my posts were being successful in reaching out to my own soul group and helping them through the ascension process!

Today we are going to talk about the views of the early Church toward women. But first a little note about the early goddess religions that were mystical in nature and balanced between male and female. They began to be demonized and the early Church began to consider them satanic. Now you’re not going to believe what I’m about to say so I will just quote it. These are quotations from the early Church fathers and their attitudes toward women. [My translation from the German]

“Up to this time Satan as the antichrist had not been born. The evil God was dual in nature. Satan as father, Satan as Samyasa, Satan as poet and philosopher, lived in the proud all knowing and all powerful cast of the Magi. He lived in the silent mysteries of the Chaldean temples and his priests were the hakamim (physicians), the khartumim (magicians), the kasdim and the gazrim (astrologers).

This Satan lived in the doctrines of Mazdeism and it’s children, the Magi, were the great protectors of the sacred flame that came down to them from heaven. Satan also lived in Ahura Mazda, the good God, that taught Zarathustra the secrets of the Haoma plant and in the Egyptian God, Thoth, Trimegistos, who wrote the secret knowledge down into 42 books and taught his chosen ones the important parts of the body. The terrible Hecate shared the gift of magical visions and workings with her chosen ones, as well as the gift of the invisible death stroke.

But besides Satan as Thoth and Satan as Hecate, there lived on the earth. Satan as Satyr, Satan as Pan and Satan as phallus. He was the God of the instincts and carnal lust and was equally revered by the highest in spirit as well as the lowest. He was the inexhaustible source of life’s joy, the enthusiasm and the ecstasy. He taught women the arts of seduction and allowed men to double their sex drive and satisfy their lusts. He reveled in colors, invented the flute and set the muscles into rhythmic motion until a holy ecstasy enveloped the heart and the sacred phallus inseminated the fertile womb with its abundance.

Pan was Apollo then and Aphrodite at the same time. He was the God of the home hearth as well as of the bordello. He was the author of schools of philosophy. He built museums and glorious temples. He taught medicine and mathematics while at the same time, his temple in Astarteion was an immense bordello. The priestesses at Astarteion practiced the sexual arts and over the long years learned every imaginable means of sexual gratification.

Around this time, around the time of Tiberius, the great migration of the gods to Rome began. It was a time of the highest refinement and aristocratic enjoyment of life. The good God that had until then remained enthroned in his invisible kingdom of indolence and pleasure decided that the measure of sins had become too great and so he sent his son to earth, that he might make clear to the offspring of the bad God his dreary truth of the invisible worlds.

And he came to earth, this son of the good God, and revealed himself at first to the poor, the oppressed, the slaves and the day workers that had never tasted the holy joys of Pan.

Why trouble yourselves over your daily bread? Who dresses the lilies in the most beautiful colors compared to which scarlet and brocade are only empty rags? Who nourishes the birds that neither sow nor reap? Why do you strive after worldly things that will perish? What value is your pride when the highest on the earth will become the lowest in the kingdom of heaven? And what of your carnal desire, isn’t it the gateway to hell?

Oh, carnal desire, most especially carnal desire, the seat of all the passions, the inexhaustible source of life’s joy, the will to eternal life. It had to be destroyed so the kingdom of the invisible could take over the earth.

The Master said that a man had already defiled a woman when he looked upon her with lust. The disciples went much further. St. Cyprian said of the girl that was created in such a way that she excited a sigh of love from a man- that she was shameless, and if she allowed anyone to burn with lust for her- even unknowingly- then she was no longer a virgin.

“Woman! What do you and I have in common with each other?” asked the Master. The disciples went far beyond the Master.

Tertullian wrote “You are the portal to the devil.”

“You are the destroyer of the tree.”

“You are the first sinner against divine law.”

“You are the one that persuades those that do not wish to turn to the devil.”

“Everything evil comes from woman,” moaned St. Hieronymus. Yes, he even proclaimed that woman was not created in the image of God because the Holy Book said nothing about the soul of woman at the creation of the female.

The good God of the invisible hated earthly beauty. He hated everything holy that Satan as pan revealed and celebrated. He taught the transitory nature of the world and what was right. The smallest revolt of the flesh was a sin that had to be punished with long years of penance.

Tertullian raged with fanatical hatred against every purple ribbon that women sewed into their clothing. Lactantius cursed the poets and philosophers for dragging innocent souls into ruin. Paintings were destroyed, “That which grows naturally is the creation of God, everything man-made is the work of the devil.” Theater and the circus became “inventions of the devil”.

Yes, the holy fathers themselves warned of the colors of the flowers with which the demon, the evil enemy, clothed himself in color and splendor.

Isaurius, the Iconoclast, competed with Gregory the Great in the destruction of artistic images. Theodosius II had every Temple destroyed and crosses erected on top of them. They destroyed the most majestic poetic works with disastrous falsifications or annihilated them completely. The diabolist Cyprian taught that various works of the demon were hidden in poems.

The priestesses of Aphrodite became whores that anyone could pelt with filth, and love, love became God’s love! “Vanquish love, vanquish the devil!”. Everything natural was forbidden, especially the healing powers of nature. God sent illness into the world as a way to allow man to atone for a portion of his sins while still here on earth. It was a sin to frustrate this decree of God. At best, exorcisms were still allowed, not to heal a disease, but instead only to demonstrate the triumphant power of good over evil.

“The demon is everywhere.” According to Hieronymus. Even the air is full of trembling demons that scream and wail over the death of the old gods. The demon is hidden in every flower, in every tree, that brings joy, fertility, wealth and beauty. He brings the day as Lucifer and closes it as Venus who brings voluptuous lewd dreams.

The first century only knew one religion, the battle against the demon.

But that battle was not easy. In its fanatical lunacy the Church threw itself against the deepest and most sacred bonds that united man to the cosmic. It forcefully tore man loose from nature, isolated him, and suspended him between heaven and earth. The mysterious rapport that the naked soul of man had with the soul of ALL became completely separate from the brain and was declared satanic, a deception of Satan.

Ancient man had stood in an intimate relationship with nature. They lived directly in and with nature. They were a part of it, were one of nature’s nerves that sounded at the smallest change in the environment. And if all the inventions of the human spirit were only organic projections, then the power of every polytheistic cult to bless and destroy was an organic projection as well. Just as the soul was a mechanism of the body that looked out from the inside of it and projected out into the world, nature revealed itself to the heathen cults in powerful symbols.

In a confused battle the church destroyed one by one the veins, through which the blood of the earth flowed in man. It destroyed the unconscious natural selection process of nature that expressed itself in external beauty, strength and nobility. It defended everything that nature wanted to eliminate, that which was so powerfully repulsive, filth, ugliness, disease, the crippled, and the castrated. The Church would have loved it if everyone was castrated, the light extinguished and the entire earth allowed to be consumed with acid rain. It’s only desire, its burning request, was the ardent wish that the recently promised Day of Judgment would finally come at last.”

Chapter 11

Wayne and Char were still working on their base camp and making good progress. They invited him to stop by if he was ever in the neighborhood and gave him directions. At least they were not mad at him. Tara was still looking for someone to partner up with for the winter and wasn’t doing so well with the construction of her base camp. It was pretty obvious she was looking for a man.

Tobal saw some of his other friends gathered by the kitchen and waved. Only a couple waved back and a few looked the other direction and moved away. He saw the Ox glower at him and sulk past silently.

Apparently there were no other candidates that month and Melanie’s initiation was going to be the only one. There was a highly charged atmosphere about the camp with an under current of anger and many were curious to get their first sight of this hell cat that was also rumor had it, prepared to take her solo! She was going to do this without even the traditional month of training and it was causing quite a stir.

Later he learned from Ellen the Ox had waited at sanctuary for another student and none had appeared. Both Zee and Kevin had gone there after the storm and waited too but no one had shown up. That’s why they were upset with him. While they had been worried about him he had been out training the only newbie available.

She warned him there could really be some hard feelings and resentment among Apprentices unless more newbies started coming in. The last couple months had been abnormally slow and people planning on becoming Journeymen were still one or two trainees away. Ox was obviously on the war path and it would pay to stay well out of his way if possible.

He excused himself from Ellen and was thinking about what she had said when he suddenly remembered the attack on his camp and the mysterious mass grave at the abandoned gathering spot. He wanted to ask Rafe about these things. Unfortunately Rafe was involved in Melanie’s initiation as a guard. Tobal also wanted to share his secret camp location with Rafe so he could find it.

As Melanie’s initiation began, Tobal found himself casting furtive glances toward the red haired girl. She was talking rapidly and excitedly to an Apprentice that was sitting next to her. He recognized the gray robed figure as the instructor that brought her into circle last time. He suddenly realized Becca was going to be soloing this month along with Melanie.

His feelings of responsibility toward Melanie were stronger than his curiosity and he felt himself drawn back into Melanie’s initiation ceremony as the drums started beating in deep rhythm. He was drawn into the dance with the other circle members.

Disoriented, she stood hoodwinked and tied before the central fire. Her tunic had been cut a little too high and he caught glimpses of her pubic hair in the firelight. It seemed that some dancers jostled her too roughly but she stood proudly through it all as the power grew within the circle. Tobal could feel the power growing and soon sensed the presence of the Lord and Lady. He saw them with his inner eye. It seemed they were not as happy as before and the energy had an angry tinge to it that had not been there during his initiation.

He was happy for Melanie and gave her a big hug at the end of the ceremony. She was now wearing the gray trousers and there were tears of happiness in her eyes.

“Thank you Tobal,” she whispered as she clung to him. “This is sanctuary and the safest place I have ever been in my life. I’m among friends I can trust in a place where I belong and you are my closest and dearest friend.”

She pulled him close and kissed him deeply, her lips crushing his in a fierce embrace.

The party was getting into full swing when some raucous voices called Tobal over in their direction. Tobal saw his friends drinking home brewed beer out of leather drinking jacks and hurried over to help drink it up. This evening was in Melanie’s honor and he made introductions. It was Melanie that made the greatest hit by passing out honeycomb and honey to people greedy for the unaccustomed sweets. The drums beat again and the party shifted into high gear with people dancing just for the pleasure of dancing.

Rafe came over in his new black outfit. They exchanged stories and caught each other up on what had been going on. Rafe was concerned about Tobal’s camp being destroyed and mentioned there had been other camps that had been destroyed in that general area. He had never heard about the abandoned camp with its mass grave site and found the story interesting, especially the part about the air sleds that came and buzzed them without waving back. He considered going there and checking it out himself.

Rafe also brought him up to date on circle and clan politics. It seemed that fewer people were coming to circle these days. The shortage of newbies had caused division among the clan members. The heat of the summer months made food abundant and many treated it as a holiday. Others formed romantic partnerships that lasted several months.

Often love turned sour and couples once in love with each other separated in anger and jealousy looking for new partners or newbies to train. The total effect was too many clan members stuck in the Apprentice degree without a means of self promotion. They were going elsewhere and turning their attention to other things. There was even talk of a new gathering spot that had different laws and customs.

Rafe’s students had managed to corner the market on newbies and were moving up the ranks faster than others. The incident with Ox brought things to a head and guide lines needed to be set up. Ox had come back from waiting over a week at sanctuary and no one had shown up. Furious he had gone to the elders complaining that Tobal had threatened him with a knife and forcibly taken Melanie away from him. The circle elders took this very seriously and they were very interested in talking with Tobal about it.

The incident between Melanie and the guard had defused the situation and Melanie had told her own version of the story to Ellen. That was probably why none of the elders had approached Tobal yet and now they might not.

What the elders had done was decree anyone wishing to train a newbie was welcome to wait at sanctuary as long as they liked and take turns as newbies showed up on a first come, first served basis. Some got tired of waiting and left in disgust without anyone to train. Others stayed and waited for as long as three weeks before a newbie showed up to train. Everyone now felt they had an equal chance to train someone and much of the earlier resentment was fading away.

There was still a crisis though. The average length of training had gone from two months to less than 28 days and some newbies were not being trained properly. One of the newbies trying to solo had gotten lost without water and almost died. Luckily the med-alert bracelet called the medics before it was too late.

Given this, there was a lot of concern about Tobal declaring Melanie ready to solo in not quite four weeks. There had been some discussion about letting her solo at all. Only the fact that Tobal had been Rafe’s student caused the elders to go along with it.

None of Rafe’s students had any trouble soloing and it was obvious they were happier and healthier than most of the other trainees before and after their solo. It was also very obvious they knew their stuff. Rafe had gotten his Journeyman degree in one year and he was highly respected in the circle of elders as a talented trainer. Not only was he a good trainer but his students had proven themselves to be good trainers. They were willing to give Tobal the benefit of the doubt.

“And,” Rafe continued with a chuckle,” It seems Melanie can take care of herself!”

In other areas it seemed Rafe wasn’t doing so hot. While Rafe was glad to meet him and participate in circle ceremonies, he also had the obligation of Journeyman circle during the new moon at a different location. The Journeyman degree was devoted to self defense and combat. There were constant challenges for combat.

Because of Rafe’s age and small size, he was a prime target and considered an easy win. Most of the Journeymen wasted no time challenging Rafe whenever they could. Luckily the six victories needed to be six different people. After having fought and won they left Rafe alone. If Rafe wanted to rechallenge anyone he had the right to do that as the loser. But in general the winner could not rechallenge someone for another official fight. This was a hard time for Rafe. He was frustrated and having trouble dealing with it.

Tobal’s reverie was halted abruptly by the appearance of the red haired girl, Becca. She walked up in front of him and stood silently with her head bowed. His friends turned silent with curiosity. Not comprehending they looked from her to him and back to her again. She had tears in her eyes as she looked at him.

“I’m sorry,” she said, “Please forgive me. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”

Tobal’s nerves snapped, “Get away from me! Get away from me!” He screamed.

Her hand flew to her mouth and she stumbled away into the night crying. As she turned and ran Tobal got up and left. He moved over to a place in the shadows and savagely fought back tears. His thoughts were lost in bitterness and despair.

Rafe came looking for him first.

“What was that all about,” he asked? “Do you know her? Have you met before?”

Tobal looked at Rafe. The pain was gleaming darkly in his eyes as he raised his hand and touched the scars on his face.

“She did this to me,” he choked and breaking into sobs turned away.

“Oh, God!” Rafe started and gasped. Then Rafe turned and left him crying against the trunk of the tree he had been sitting against.

Tobal guessed Rafe had gotten the word out and felt even more humiliated and angry. It was not fair, now the entire camp was going to know what happened. He’d told everyone he had been attacked by a wild animal and now was caught in his own lie. He was going to be the laughing stock of the whole camp.

Melanie came to him toward morning. She had been crying. Her eyes were puffed and red and she was sniffling. She ran to him and held him in her arms. It took a few minutes but he put his arms around her too and held her close. He had to admit she did feel good in his arms. Soon she had him smiling and was trying to get him to join the rest of the group. When he finally walked over to the others he noticed a strange silence. Ellen turned to him.

“Becca ran away last night and no one has seen or heard from her. We think she is starting her solo early, but we are not really sure of anything at this point.”

Zee and Kevin both came over and apologized for their bad behavior toward him last night. They hadn’t understood about Becca and assumed he had raced to sanctuary in spite of their earlier agreement to get a newbie. They were heading for sanctuary with Nikki and invited him to travel with them. He thanked them but said no. He would be coming a bit later and needed to talk with Rafe first. If it was going to be such a big deal he would let the others go ahead this time. Ox would be there and that made four people he knew would be at sanctuary. He just didn’t feel social right now.

August was the month of Melanie’s and Becca’s solos. Tobal had gotten his second newbie, a boy named Nick. August was an unusual month with eight newbies at sanctuary. That is the first time all summer for so many newbies. Tobal had gotten lucky because Nick was number eight and waiting at sanctuary. The Ox, Zee, Nikki and Kevin had each gotten newbies to train. Tobal had resigned himself to waiting out the entire month and was astounded to find Nick waiting when he arrived a few days later. The others had already left but told Nick he would be coming.

They went straight to Tobal’s main camp and spent the first week completing some permanent winter shelters he and Melanie had started. They also worked on stone axes since axes were so desperately needed for chopping wood. The knives didn’t work well for the heavier and thicker logs.

Chestnuts

“Kathlin Mac Murdoch!
That is my name!”
—and when you hear her say her name,
You feel:
Dissatisfaction!
I bid you,
Look again,
How she spreads her long fingers—
Look again,
How her magnolia lips
Stand open,
While, the moist breath of Satan,
Crawls through her clenched teeth,
Her breath.
And now,
Just watch,
How her slender nostrils
Swell as they suck in—
The power: the witch
Lustfully and greedily drinks in
The phallus scent
Of the chestnut blossoms.

—Yes, I tell you, friend:
Kathlin Mac Murdoch,
Who rushes through a love hungry world,
Serves Aphrodite and kisses Sappho,
Who makes love through sodomy—
Kathlin Mac Murdoch,
Who at Satan’s mass
Was the priestess—
—Philopygos!
—she—
Sucks the scent—
Out of flowers—!
Watch!
Unmoving she sits at the window,
And unmoving
Outside stands the giant,
The chestnut tree—
Wide, proud, unmoving
He stretches his strong limbs out,
Each of which
Bears blooming sacrificial candles.

Outrageously then you hear:
That woman there,
Kathlin Mac Murdoch,
Make love to these flowers!

Suck the scent in—yourself!
What do you smell?
—do you sense it now?
It is the eternally victorious scent,
The wild scent,
The one, world building scent
From the original source of the phallus!
There she sits
Kathlin Mac Murdoch,
Surrounded by the rain,
That is life to her—

There she sits and sucks in
With all her pores
This delightful breath of a man,
She, a female, a female,
All sex
From her head to her feet!
Bend down, if you are an artist!
Here you can sense
The strange breath of this terrible flame,
That singed Salome and burned Salammbȏ:
—dissatisfaction!

There should be a balance to our lives. Everything is where it should be within our environment. The door we must open lies within our reach if we can only discover where it is.

Where ever it is we want to go, our starting point is in the same room we are in right now. There is an action we can take that will alter our life. That action is a new action we have not taken before and we probably don’t know what that action is. That action might be a small simple action but it will have tremendous consequences on the rest of our life.

Most of the time it comes out of our blind spot and we only stumble upon it by accident. Many actions are like walking on a treadmill. We put out effort and energy but don’t get any place. When we do the wrong actions we don’t get anywhere.

When we do the right actions our lives are changed forever. Correct actions are accumulative and empower us over time. Good friends can see the things we can’t. They will help us if we let them. One secret is closure. When we start something we must finish it or the energy we have already spent remains unfocused and acts as a drain on our energy reserves. Instead of walking on an endless treadmill we can break our actions down into specific physical tasks that can be completed with closure.

Completing something gives us energy to start new projects. Completing brings energy back into our lives. If we don’t finish we never get the energy back. During each day set aside a portion of time to work for specific future goals. In performing these tasks our efforts take on added power and momentum. At first perhaps very little can be done, in time more and more can be accomplished.

Effort toward goals is cumulative and will grow in time. We progress in life through modest accumulated effort and not through heroic one time efforts. This has been one of the most difficult lessons I have had to learn. I have always wanted to do the heroic and not deal with the day to day realities. This reluctance to deal with the day to day realities of life has held me back for years. I am only now starting to come to terms with this issue.

All out heroic efforts have not gotten me anyplace except out of the frying pan and into the fire. Modest accumulations over long periods of time have brought the most important and lasting changes into my life.

As an example I got married and joined the military in a heroic effort at raising a family. It didn’t work. I got the marriage and the family but I also got the divorce and the separation from my children. Heroic efforts seem in my life to be like a two edged sword take gives and takes. Slow and steady bring true results. Like a fine wine, the universe and nature will not be rushed. Everything has its own season. If we don’t have something it is because we are not ready to have it. We don’t know enough about what we want.

Modest forward progress has been constant and over the years the thing that has been most empowering in my life. The pattern seems to be take a risk, gain experience and then gain skill. When enough skill has been gained I have advanced. At this point my progress seems to be increasing at an exponential rate. The progress I have made toward personal goals in the past year alone is more than I have made in the ten previous years combined.

I’ve got to conclude that long term planning and working toward long term goals are two of the key ingredients for personal empowerment and goal achievement. This is especially effective when combined with the closure concept. It seems to be an unbeatable combination.

This balance is only possible by working through and with the conditions of my life as they currently are and not as I wish them to be. Break things down into small chunks that are easy to do and put closure on them. Slow and steady does win the race.

In other posts we learned how to develop and use spiritual energies through the energy ball meditation. These energies were used to purge the body and psyche of “black” energy that had been trapped and repressed within our physical bodies.

Working with spiritual energies is known as the lesser work since it doesn’t directly affect the environment but instead is a form an inner work that can be described as mysticism. It’s effects are felt mainly within our psyches and the regeneration of our physical bodies. The build up of stresses and energies acts within us instead of on our environment.

Working with physical and sexual energies is known as the greater work and has a greater effect on our immediate environment because they are denser and closer to the earth. This work involves direct interaction with the earth’s astral layers and our relationship to those layers that surround us.

It is also a continuation of the lesser work in that it purges the body and psyche of “black” energy of a very dense nature that is difficult for spiritual energy to release completely. With these energies we attempt to build astrally the type of life that we want as well as defend ourselves from life’s events that we wish to avoid. We attempt to establish a causal link between the astral/etheric energies and physical reality.

For sake of clarification etheric energies and spiritual energies are also astral energies. Astral energies range from the lightest spiritual energies as from the hydrogen element downward to the heaviest and most earthbound etheric levels and elements. In like manner physical and sexual energies are types of etheric astral energy.

I use spiritual energy to describe astral energy that is at the higher end of the elemental scale and use etheric energy to describe astral energy at the lower end of the scale. In this sense they are very generic terms meaning high and low forms of astral energy.

Physical energy is generated by physical activity. Sexual energy is generated by sexual activity. Emotional energy is generated by emotional activity. Mental energy is generated by mental activity. All of these energies are astral energies or magnetic field energies of an inductive nature.

Male energy is any type of energy produced by a male. Female energy is any type of energy produced by a female.

The entire subject of working with physical and sexual energies is very complex and must be taken a little at a time to ensure a proper understanding. The procedure is very simple in itself and will be described fully within this chapter.

The greater work consists of both creating desired astral/etheric events and in destroying or altering harmful astral/etheric events before they become physical events. This work is done in the “fixed” Akashic records as well as in the higher levels of the astral planes. It is possible to alter the future that is embedded within the “fixed” etheric regions of the astral but it takes enormous amounts of energy to do this. It requires the total disruption of these etheric levels.

It is much easier to prevent something bad from happening to you by forcing it up out of the “fixed” etheric levels and into the more subjective astral levels than it is to cause something specific to happen physically. At any given level it takes more energy to go downward against resistance than it does to go upward against resistance. Each lower level is a condensation of the one directly above it and has more energy available to it than the one above it.

When these lower levels are totally disrupted in this manner there is a spectacular realignment on all levels that results in a forced resolution of the various issues of other people. Large quantities of astral events become physical events while other astral events are destroyed.

This resolution allows room for new dynamics that are more advantageous to you. It is much like hitting the reset button on a computer, it starts all over from scratch taking into consideration your current strengths and weaknesses.

To do this one must be able to operate on all levels of the astral planes with full consciousness. This requires that all 118 astral bodies must be activated into full awareness. Then they must all be “phase-locked” together so they become in effect only one astral body.

Otherwise the stresses involved will not act on the earth’s astral planes but act inwardly to develop your own astral bodies. This is why the lesser work is inner work. All astral bodies must be activated and integrated before starting the great work of altering the earth’s astral levels.

The techniques given so far will allow activation of these bodies with spiritual energy but not with physical and sexual energies. This means that by applying and mastering the techniques given in chapter one and chapter five anyone will have the ability to force bad things out of the “fixed” etheric levels.

It means that you can destroy or prevent that which seeks to harm you or minimize the effects of a bad situation so that personal growth can come out of it. It does this by releasing these things from the fixed etheric levels and bringing these negative energies upward into awareness where they can be recognized and dealt with appropriately where they can do less harm.

Success with the techniques given in chapter five establish permanent connection to a “light” power source and an “earth” power source on a spiritual level. After this is done astral contact must be made with your soul mate to act as a second power source. This happens automatically as you open up to the solar and lunar cycles.

The energy ball meditations automatically develop all the astral bodies as described but the mechanics of how it works is complex. For astral energy to be stable and able to form astral bodies it must be 50% male energy and 50% female energy. Male energy by itself is expansive and uncontrollable. Female energy by itself is restrictive and confining. When mixed perfectly the astral material is stable and responsive to creative shaping and control.

The physical body can only produce one type of energy, male or female depending on what sex it is. It can not produce the opposite sex energy and must get it from someplace else.

In the energy ball meditations the energy ball is at first largely created by generating large amounts of one type of spiritual energy and creating a vacuum that attracts opposite sex spiritual energy. This energy comes from anywhere that is available. It comes from the environment and the collective in general.

As the meditations progress more and more opposite sex energy is required at deeper and deeper levels. At the conclusion of those exercises your astral bodies are formed of 50% your energy and 50% opposite sex energy taken or drawn from the collective of humanity. Your energy is pure but the collective’s energy is made up of many people that are karmically enmeshed and the energy will fluctuate and be unstable at times. This means your astral bodies will be unstable at times.

It is widely understood that H. H. Ewers thought of himself as a Satanist. However, there is a fine distinction that must be noted right here at the beginning. There are two types of duality, one where both powers oppose each other (good vs. evil) and one where both forces are drawn together as an act of love and completion (male/ female; yin/yang). Hanns Heinz Ewers shows us the way out of this nightmare. It is by bringing the unconscious into conscious awareness and not reverting back to a point of no awareness at all! What does Ewers have to say on this topic?

“It is solidly established in deepest human nature that all things new and unfamiliar are uncomfortable, while persistence along all accustomed paths brings happiness! That is why fairy tales are of “The Good Old Times”; the favorite songs of every generation sing of the morals and customs of our fathers’ and we find our poetic ideal in “Golden Antiquity”!
That is also why we hear the eternal complaint by the citizen of the “Loss of morals”, especially those morals of his own time, the genuinely coarse, “What is the world coming to?” This is the ancient song of the “decadence” of modern times compared with the glorious past!

Even with the simplest recognition it can be grasped that the path of humanity, despite individual rough spots is constantly leading upward, can be grasped how much higher we stand than our ancestors and even how much higher still our descendants will stand than us!

In the end this steadfast movement again and again overcomes the costly law of human inertia. —

But the past always appears as the victor, as the highest happiness! Back to the earliest beginning of all emotions, back to the point where a living creature had no conscious awareness of itself, could not make the distinction between itself and the exterior world. The achievement of this condition is the final atavism that there is, that which the mystical ecstatic calls, “Merged in God”, yes, to rest in the “Godhead”. It is the final culmination of all wisdom.—

Therefore it is entirely logical that those who hold this condition of ecstasy as the “highest happiness” should not forget that this “highest” is in fact the origin of everything and the deepest of everything, that fairy tales of the “Good Old Times” are the most grandiose as well as the most beautiful lies that humanity knows.

I take a different position—in my book, “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”, an attempt is made to follow this path of thought to it last particular.”

-Music in Images

Here is a simple statement in his belief that humanity is progressing despite its own intrinsic impulse to revert backwards to old atavisms. Here it seems that he is against this backward return to the base instincts. He takes a different position from that which most people associate with duality! For him, duality is a movement forward, an evolutionary leap, and not a regression.

“Like man himself! In the beginning man was with God and part of the indivisible All, and he tore himself loose in spite of it. From this awareness of self over the course of billions of years there developed an awareness of the contradiction, “I”—and the world! And yet a part of the All clung to this “I”, was still imprisoned in this physical body, grew with it, died with it and was inseparable from its earthly remains.

And a great desire for liberation caused this soul to seek a false path and grope in the shameful darkness. It always ran back by the way which it had come to its original awareness of the “I” instead of to the “Not—I”, and did not know that the goal was at the other end.

The soul was conscious of the contradiction between the “I” and the “Not—I”, but the soul accepted the physical body as part of the “I”, even as the “I” itself did, and did not realize that the physical body was only a part of the “Not—I”. Thus man’s physical body became the unfortunate bridge that always led the soul back to the physical world of which it was a part. And all those souls driven by desire passed over it and descended deeper and deeper until they sank into God.

Yet how comical it was when the pious cried out that one must conquer the body! Their words were so wise, yet their understanding was so wrong. They did not conquer the body—but rather strengthened its power by all they did. They conquered the soul of man and became as beasts; they conquered the beasts inside and became as God.

But the time must come for the striding forth of the liberated human being. When the knowledge becomes so deep and so firmly rooted that each one knows his body is nothing other than some tree that stands in the forest, than some bird that flies in the air: than any foreign object that lies far in the distance! When each passionately feels that his body has nothing in common with his soul—and is as alien to him as a stone in the street , when the assurance reaches each consciousness that the external world may be all-embracing, yet, it fails to hold one thing, namely, the soul—then that great day will dawn—

Then the soul of man will tend the body well, like a temple, like a good house in which one dwells. Only, it will be a stranger, something external from us, and this knowledge alone will be the great conquest of the body. Then the bridge that leads downward will be broken; then the lunacy of our forefathers will perish; then the eternal desires will laugh happily as they kiss freedom and truth amidst their tears over the dark errors of the ages.”

-The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

The false path is the one that runs in shameful darkness, the one that leads back into the physical world. It is even more plainly stated here. This is an affirmation of the soul and of the spirit, a soul and spirit that exist in all things as described below.

“—Things have souls. All of them—just like people, flowers, animals, stones, paintings and books, houses, the table and chairs. They all have a soul—have color and aroma—the stars and the oceans, even nails, umbrellas, rings—waste paper baskets. And it often happens that the souls of these things reveal themselves in their connection with humans. Some chemical attraction brings them to us, a vapor perhaps, an aroma. Or an atmospheric resonance, a harmonic wave motion that radiates from it. There is something.

The thing doesn’t know what it is—no one knows what it is—today. But someday man will know. We will know what it is that attracts one human to another, what creates revulsion or attraction—love or hate. The thing—that man calls the soul.

Or its expression—it’s out flowing. The Indians have called it Shakti for many thousands of years. They give it such high regard that it was thought to be an entity in itself, the one that created everything in the seven worlds. Shiva created nothing, he was the destroyer—everything was created through the divine Durga, the Goddess Shakti.

Was it any different with Jehovah, the great monotheistic God of the Jews? He didn’t go to Mary when he wanted to give a redeemer to the world—he sent his Shakti, his soul, the Holy Spirit.

And the Greeks saw so many souls in things. There were living Shakti in the stars and the winds, in the oceans and the meadows, in the fire, the air, in stones and trees. There were dryads, nymphs, and niads— just like the elves, pixies, fairies and wood elves of Nordic mythology.

Everything was alive—breathing souls were everywhere. That was the visible world. And the great God that destroyed them, the God from Nazareth, the God of everything invisible, did not have the power to entirely exterminate them. The Christian Church did not deny the souls that were in things—it just called them demons. The spirit of evil became—the devil. The colors of the flowers were damned by Saint Hieronymus—as one of Satan’s alluring enticements.”

-Vampire

From this passage we see that Ewers believes in a type of pantheism where souls and spirits inhabit physical things. A high grade of spirituality is seen that moves through all of his writings.

“The Christian sciences stumbled miserably through the centuries in metaphysical lead boots, and were even more pious than the Church. They smashed everything that had life in the outer world and allowed poor humanity to grope around in a dark, deathly cold swamp. They believed that their dominion by slaughter had led them to a great victory when they finally displaced the devil—and held Luther in even higher regard.

Then it occurred to them; that must fall as well—the popular idea now was:
No light without darkness; no “yes” without a “no”; No God was possible without a Devil.
And also, No ‘I’ could exist—without an external world. No soul could exist in the ‘I’ without there being a soul in all other things as well.

Light came once more into the world. Colors grew and resounded. It was believed that souls searched for each other. Sometimes they found each other—but had become like strangers.”

-Vampire

Here we see even more clearly how the forces of duality need each other, work together to create the beauty that is life. They are not eternally at war with each other as described in the “Synagogue of Satan”. What is described is not “good and evil” but “light and dark”.

While little is known about the Antient and Primitive Rite, much is known about Albert Pike’s “Scottish Rite” and it does reflect the union or balance of light and dark in its higher degrees, such as the “Prince of the Sun” degree. These high degrees remind one very much of Aleister Crowley and his statement, “How can something be true if its opposite is not true as well?” In addition both Dion Fortune of the Golden Dawn and Aleister Crowley maintained that the soul must travel both paths, the path of the mystic and the path of magick. The path of the mystic goes up into the spiritual light and the path of the magician goes down into the dark powers of the earth. So once more the question is whether HHE chose a path of duality that was an integration of the light and the dark or one where they were fundamentally opposed.

Perhaps there was a little of both? In the short story “The Death of Baron Jesus Maria von Freidel” the Baron struggles between two personalities that cohabit his body. One is male and the other is female and they are both trying to kill each other. In “Fundvogel” the main character is a female and undergoes a sex change operation to become a male. The idea of having both male and female aspects within the human psyche was very prevalent in Ewers day. Alchemists called it the “Alchemical Marriage” the union of the higher self and the lower self. Carl Jung, an early student of Sigmund Freud developed his theories of the anima and animus. Magicians tried to become hermaphrodites, half male and half female. All of these viewpoints hint at integrating the dual aspects of male and female from a psychological point of view.

“It’s true; the artist has it right. Somehow we live on in our children many generations after our death. As women with emotions and sorrow we carry and give birth under miserable torment but with each birth we rise from the dead and as men later fertilize our great-grandchildren. Then once more blossoms our first thought drawn from a chorus in a distant land and we first become aware of our groping feet and once more cast our wavering seed upon the rocks.

Something lives on and perhaps the best. Many things die- and perhaps the best. Who is to know? Everything dies and what does not die is kept safely in memory. What is forgotten is entirely dead, not that which dies. People are beginning to grasp that it is not the remembering of the past that is good but the forgetting. Remembering is foolishness, an illness, and a disgusting pestilence that chokes out the new life. We do not want to constantly look back in honor of our fathers and mothers but more deeply separate from them because we are more than they are and greater than they are!

We want to tear down yesterday because we know that today we are alive and that our today is a much better one. That is our strong belief and it is so strong that we do not even think about it. We don’t consider that our great today- tomorrow will be a pathetic yesterday only fit for the rubbish heap.

It is an eternal war with eternal defeat if we do not gain victory over our ancestral memories. We are slaves to the ideas of our forefathers. We spend our lives tormenting ourselves in their chains, suffocating in the restrictive fortress that our forefathers have created. We need to build a bigger house. When we are dead it will be worn out as well and our grandchildren will lie in the chains that we have created.

But if that is the truth then what is it that I have now discovered? Am I today at the same time my father, my forefathers and myself? If what my brain carries does not die but lives on in my children and grandchildren how can the eternal revolution ever become reconciled?”
-The Blue Indians

This is a powerful statement and is there any more clear way of saying that we need to look toward the future and not to the past? To destroy existing structures so that new and better ones might be built upon the ashes, this is more than a call to anarchy; it is the sacred call of every new generation and some day our world will become obsolete as well.

I’ve been meaning to write about this for a few days because it is so significant. The end of a great cycle is dominated by science and the male while the beginning of a great cycle is dominated by magic and the female.

The recent news about sexual harassment in the workplace is a good example. Where are the protests? Where is the violence? There are none and there is none! There is simply a universal “This is no longer acceptable!” and that’s it! We are seeing permanent change and its from male dominance to female dominance within our society and it is a good thing! Males have certainly screwed things up enough!

As I type these words I realize I’m not making my point clear enough. We have just finished over 4,000 years of male domination within our society and we are looking at 4,000 years at least of female domination! Does that say it plainly enough? What goes around comes around and this meteoric rise of the feminine demonstrates more clearly than anything else that the old ways are over!

We are looking at a change that is so great it is simply not comprehendible right now. But we will watch in awe as it unfolds. There is no holding it back because it has already been held back far too long.

So what can we expect? What happened at the beginning of the last great cycle? At the beginning of the last great cycle men and women were still living in caves. Dramatic DNA alterations occurred that encouraged human males to stay with human females and form families and communities.

One of these genetic changes was the ability to have sex for pleasure. The human female transformed into a seductive beauty that invited sexual pleasures at all times and not just monthly. Her breasts became more than functional and things of beauty that have fascinated artists up through the centuries. Sex became designed for mutual pleasure as each could face the other for equal stimulation. These evolutionary changes have not happened to other species but remain human specific.

In the early goddess religions the female had the strongest sense of self as the “one who brings life”. Males only held supportive roles.

In today’s modern male dominated world things are changing quickly, more quickly than we can imagine. Male dominance began with the invention of reading and writing and the discovery of the soul or sense of self. Things went from organic to head tripping and the males were so good at head tripping! Women were ridiculed for being able to do what only they could do, conceive and give birth to new life. The males mocked what was once sacred.

Now things are going organic again and we are no longer living in caves! What can we expect?

It is the discovery that the female gives birth to the soul as well as to babies! This is the discovery that will stun the masses. The development of the soul and it’s powers will be a concern of the female and at the discretion of the female. This is the power that today’s female will take up. It’s already happening! Women will no longer allow sexual abuse.

We can reasonably expect some pendulum swing that goes a bit too far, just like it did for the males. Then things will balance out again. Spirituality will be in the caring hands of women and in loving hearts. If you are in balance there is nothing to fear!

Was Jesus A Gnostic?

The question of whether Jesus was a Gnostic is a lot more complicated than a person might think. Jesus came from a Jewish community and tradition has it that he belonged to the Essene community which was a mystical fringe group of the larger Jewish community.

The main Jewish community in itself was, I’m going to say, functionally atheistic because even though they believed in one God, the one and only God; they did not really believe in an afterlife. They did not really believe in nonphysical spirituality. They were very logic and reason oriented as opposed to having mystical experiences. In fact, the whole idea of a Messiah coming and being able to bring fire down from heaven was a rare occurrence for them and one that they looked forward to.

So mysticism was not an everyday occurrence in their lives. Mysticism did not come easy to these people. Evidence does support a balance of male and female within the teachings of Jesus in the Gospel of Mary. There appears to be equality of the sexes where the women were held in equal regard in status and in fact, Mary had a rather exalted status in her having a more personal relationship with Jesus. There may be some others, I’m just using the Gospel of Mary as an example.

But there is also evidence of a very anti-female influence, especially from Peter who did not really appreciate the role that women played in early Christianity. Still the Gospel of Mary and some other Gnostic texts do suggest that the original group that gathered around Jesus was open to the balance of male and female.

The evidence also shows that the teachings of Jesus included teachings of nonphysical reality like heaven and the soul, things that the traditional Jewish religion does not believe in. In fact, that was the main thrust of early Christian teachings about the soul and how it was capable of persisting beyond the death of the physical body.

This statement is even more indicated by how even after Jesus was crucified some of his disciples did not believe that his awareness and soul still existed. The entire structure of Christianity revolved around the victory of the soul over the death of the physical body. That immortality of the soul was shown for the first time by Jesus.

That was the main fundamental doctrine of Christianity and it was not exactly compatible with the logic and reason of the rational and atheistic point of view of the Jewish community. There was a split between the Jews and the Gentiles during the first and second centuries after the death of Jesus. Christians went one way, the Jews went the other way.

Let’s get back to the question about whether Jesus was a Gnostic. What he taught was the wisdom of the heart and the celebration of life, and I would also say that he simplified things down to where it was not splitting hairs. It was all very simple. It could be understood by the heart and it was a celebration of life. I think it’s pretty clear that his message was intended to help us get through this physical life and find a better one after death.

But it brought up some problems. Part of the Jewish influence on the early Christian Church was to consider the entire collective group as the body of Christ. These people identified the church as a worldly power and used it as a way to dominate and enslave those with weaker egos and a weaker sense of self. It was a way to get control over the original Gaia inhabitants of earth.

These young souls were just developing their own sense of self. For the first time they were just discovering their own watcher or Observer self inside of Christianity. Jesus’s message to them was that they did have a watcher or Observer self. They did have a soul.

“It exists in your heart and I will help you find it’” was basically his message. By doing this he pretty much alienated the rational atheistic Jewish community.

But he was appealing to the social enforcers, the zealots, and early Christianity was filled with zealots. Now the zealots had plenty of mystical beliefs and experiences. They had so many mystical experiences that there was a very real danger that any mystic could claim equal status to the works of Jesus himself.

This new movement was anti-intellectual. These mystical ideas about the heart were anti-collective because they involved the individual and the individual needed to have a personal relationship with God. These were things that split it away from the rational atheist movement even more.

It was obviously dealing with things of a spiritual and metaphysical nature. Especially after the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus. This metaphysical nature of Christianity became dominant.

I find it very interesting that Paul, originally Saul of Tarsus, persecuted early Christians and then later was converted on the road to Damascus and became the apostle Paul. He was considered the apostle of the heretics and his teachings were considered some of the first Gnostic teachings. He never even knew Jesus personally so the idea of whether Jesus was a Gnostic becomes even more confused.

There’s a discrepancy because Paul was really the one that brought Gnosticism into Christianity. It might have been there earlier, perhaps in some secret teachings. But Paul was the one that reached out to the Gentile community and it was the Gentiles that made Christianity what it is today.

So the original teachings appealed to both the original true mystics or organic Gnostics and they appealed to the zealots, the social enforcers. These were the ones who believed very strongly in the soul and the survival of the spirit or awareness after the death of the physical body. At least some of them were Gnostics.
