At the San Juan Cemetery in Puerto Rico

Red roses climb up from the graves on the quiet hillside,
To gently caress marble benches.
From out of the laurel
Sounds the sweet and enticing songs of the birds
A stone angel listens.
A thick carpet of ivy covers a winding path,
Crawling everywhere—
Until at last even the path is lost.
A mountain of bleached bones grows high.
No money, no grave!
Here lie the exiled, no cross for them and no bragging memorials.
Gypsies, beggars, fidgety musicians.
Oh how the sun shines on their skulls!
I take off my hat and greet these relatives,
Those that didn’t pay their last rent.

Mother

Mother, dear mother, dream of happiness!
—Look! I kneel before you in the evening hours,
Kiss the deep wounds of your heart.
Dream of happiness mother, dream of happiness!
Your ruler has always measured me in moderation,
Your ears have always listened to my words.
When I was wild—you have excused me,
When I was bad—you have forgotten it.
Mother, dear mother, dream of happiness!
—lay your head in my strong arms,
Let my songs be a colored bridge leading you
Far away from all sorrows and harm!
Light hearted pennants decorate my boat,—
As it travels back to Avalon, the land of the fairies!
Mother, do you see me standing there as the pilot?
Will you come with? —and —will you laugh,
Dear mother?
Water lilies!—see how I pluck them!
The waves splash!—the wind is in the sail!
White birds of summer soar in the distance!
—Ah, you can dream there mother,
Dream of happiness!

Chrysanthemums

Kätie read my songs
And wants me to write
About chrysanthemums,
Chrysanthemums —
The flowers that Kätie loves.
So I sit down at my desk,
I put my head in my hands
And I search, search
For the soul of this flower—
And I think:
Yes, — — I know of two images
That can assist me on the trail —
The first: The fine touch of the Frenchman,
Pierre Loti. He sensed it and described it
In “Madame Chrysanthème”
In the foggy tones of “The Boys of Glasgow”,
He borrowed the image from Whister,
Taking it as his own vision. —
Yet this flower speaks differently to me,
No, I can not find its faint sound
Or its essence —
Let me search further —
And the other image?
In the house of my mother
Hangs in the hall
An engraved face
Of the Madonna
Engraved out of
Splendid white crystal
And framed with ebony.
The Sixtina — and on both sides
Are found two little shelves
That hold large gray vases.
In the vases mother
Always placed chrysanthemums,
Always chrysanthemums.
Why only chrysanthemums?
Yes, mallow should have been placed there
Red, white and violet mallow!
I search for the soul of this flower
Why can’t I find a trace anywhere?
I must ask Kätie!
“Kätie! Kätie!”
Kätie comes and rocks in the chair!
“Oh you big fool! — you brood, brood,
Meditate, think — and have nothing
To say about my favorite flower?
Then listen:
The coquette shepherd girl
Of Trianon at a feast
Wove colored chrysanthemums
On her shepherd’s staff —
At the ball Kätie laughed and danced
And on her white shoulders laughed
Colored chrysanthemums
Fluttering like leaves, like the colored
Shepherd’s garland playing in the wind.
Forgetting all her troubles and worries
And for a few short hours
Giving herself up to love’s sweet caresses,
Filling her poor senses!
You see — that — is all it is!”
And I knelt,
“Kätie, let me kiss you shoulders,
Kiss the flowers on your shoulders,
Your bright chrysanthemums — Katharina!”

Now the permanent development and activation of the black sexual energy body requires only the generation of massive amounts of sexual energy on a daily basis over a long period of time. When this is activated one is able to do magic in a completely natural way without ritual, spells or anything at all. It is done through dreams and astral work or simple shaman type energy work.

Working with blood magic or warrior magic or fear magic involves the intense stressing of the physical body almost to the point of death, through violence and drug induced intoxication where the soul or awareness is driven out of the body. Sadly this is what magic has become or thought to be for most people.

In the common understanding of magic these two energies are often blended and confused. In order to become magical or to do magic it is thought that blood and sacrifice are needed. This is the tragedy of modern history. The natural function of love is replaced with the horror of violence and death.

Gnostic Christianity kept secret the mysteries of true sex magic, of the black non-physical body and its powers. Women were especially adept at this and feared as witches. The generation of this energy produced fearful demons, incubi and succubae that took one’s life force through vampirism and other demonic means. This Black Energy stirred up fear in those that did not understand.

The Catholic Church in particular hated and feared women because of this natural energy and power which so many women had and sought to subject them through violence. Alchemists experimented with tantric sex and discovered ways of developing this black etheric body and gained the ability to do magic. They wrote about these subjective experiences in cryptic ways. In this way the ancient alchemists were organic Gnostics.

The knowledge of the alchemists was symbolically unified in the teachings of the Rosicrucians with the golden cross and the rose at its center signifying the balance of male and female, the alchemical wedding of the Higher Self and the lower human Shadow merged in unity as the human ego. In Germany the Imperator of the Rosicrucian movement was Martin Luther, originator of the protestant revolution. Of course this was considered Satanic by the Catholic Church. According to H. Spencer Lewis in high level AMORC monographs, freemasonry was a social experiment originated among high level Rosicrucians.

Rosicrucian activity coalesced around Papus in France and organic gnosticism and German satanism coalesced around Przybyszeski in Berlin/Munich. Przybyszeski compiled the information in Synagogue of Satan and out of that information emerged something entirely new, German Satanism. This movement believed in the development of the soul and its powers through healthy sexuality and intoxication caused by drug and alcohol use. It was also inspired by the ego centric and individualistic anarchy of Max Stirner, modern psychology and a belief in women’s rights and the needed balance of male and female energies.

Ewer’s took this movement and enlarged it through his lectures on The Religion of Satan. Concepts such as open sexuality, women’s rights, democratic-anti-monarchy ideals, anti-Church views, pro-science and self-empowerment of individuals pervaded other German literature through such outlets as the weekly magazine “Simplicissimus” and noted authors including Richard Dehmel.

It is quite likely that Ewers shared his Religion of Satan concepts with Alistair Crowley while they were both living in New York in 1917 as they both frequented Ernst (Putzi) Hanfstaengl’s Art House on 5th Avenue and worked for the same publisher, George Sylvester Viereck. At the time Ewers had been giving his Religion of Satan lectures for over seven years and was an authority on the Dark Current and tantric sexuality. Crowley had been involved in Golden Dawn material and was just getting interested in the sex magic teachings of the OTO.

The organic gnosticism movement was simple and free of much distortion. After the First World War the loss of idealism turned this movement into a decadent movement with even more sexuality and debauchery. It was this black sexual energy, now a dirty brown mixed with the Red and Orange Energies, which clung to Nazi Germany and continues to convince people of the occultism of Nazi Germany. All of these lower energies were very strong in post war Germany.

The pure Black of sexual energy has been constantly confused and mixed with the Red Energy of the warrior and the Orange decadent energy of debauchery.

In modern days magical power is thought to be achieved through a myriad confusion of ritualized practices. Simple healthy human sexuality is not one of them. Sexuality has become a thing to be feared and shunned, both within and without. It has become Satanic.

The Organic Gnosticism of Pre-war Germany

This is an attempt to explain the persistent rumors of the so called dark current and evil occultism of pre-war Germany that persists despite little evidence of occultism. It is rather a Black Energy or Dark Current that is sensed, feared and confused in the mind of the public with Satanism and evil.

I became interested in this question through my translation work of Hanns Heinz Ewers and Stanislaw Przybyszewski, both reputed Satanists. What I have discovered sheds a spotlight on both German Occultism, Modern Satanism and Organic Gnosticism and raises even more questions that need to be asked.

This account holds both the ridiculous and the horrible and is a tale of humanity. I ask the reader to keep an open mind as I delve into previously unexplained details of occultism and metaphysical realities and try to explain how Organic Gnosticism was originally a form of Tantra, the Path of Woman and the path of Divine Counterparts.

The first thing to be confronted is the reality of non-physical worlds that are just as real and substantial as so called physical reality. This includes the reality of the soul and the astral planes. If you can’t believe in the soul and the unseen worlds you can’t believe in Divine Counterparts.

This Black Current or Black Magical Energy is sex energy, plain and simple. If a person strongly works with sex energy as in tantric sex exercises of any type whatsoever, their aura will become black. Sexual energy is black and it is pure. There is no evil or perversity about it. The most spiritual and religious person in the world can work strongly with sex energy and their aura will take on this “black” color.

The problem is that this sexual Black Energy lies beneath fear energy and to consciously work with it one must confront and work through their personal fears. When sensitive people encounter people with this Black Energy in their aura it activates the energy of fear within them, they become afraid and think of these people as “black” magicians.

This Black Energy is the lowest etheric energy possible before physical manifestation and to be able to consciously manipulate it is to be able to do magic and to alter physical events before they manifest. This ability to do magic is real and not an invention of crazy people although many don’t have the mental and emotional stability to control these non-physical forces.
The goal of the magician is to permanently activate a non-physical body created of this Black Energy . When this is done one is able to function at this level and perform “magic”.

Geneology

Father was a painter,
Mother was a painter.
They rhymed together
And were of like minds.
Father came from the north,
Mother lived on the Rhine.
There the son of a blacksmith
Courted the patrician’s daughter.
She was no fool
And made the right choice.
Her cheerful father
Was general of the cavalry
And son of a Rhinish art collector.
His family had been saving their coins
For over five hundred years now.
Now, father’s father
Was an anchor-smith.
He sounded his hammer song
In Wismar on the Baltic.
And received his old forge
From his father before him
He was really vexed
When his own son never
Became a smith.
That is my family tree
On both father’s and mother’s side
Here hangs the youngest apple
And isn’t he clever?

Orchids

When the Devil
was a woman
She was Lilith
Her black hair coiled
In heavy knots
Surrounding her head
Like a Botticelli ruff
When she smiled tiredly
At the gold bands
And colored stones
On all of her narrow fingers
When she read Villiers
And loved Huysmans
When she understood
Maeterlinks silence
And her soul bathed
In the colors
Of Gabriel d’Annunzlo
She once laughed
And when the Princess
Laughed a little serpent
Sprang out of her mouth
This most beautiful Devil
Stroked the serpent
This queen stroked the serpent
With her be-ringed fingers
So that it turned, hissed,
Hissed, hissed
And sprayed venom
Lilith collected the drops
And sprinkled them
Over her heavy copper vase
Of moist earth,
Black, moist earth
Her vast hands moved lightly
All around the
Heavy copper vase
Caressing it
Softly her pale lips sang
Her old spell
Her spell rang
Like a child’s rhyme
Soft and languid,
Languid like the kisses
From her mouth
The moist earth drank
And life arose in the vase
Enticed by her languid kisses
Enticed by her soft sounds
And slowly out
Of the black earth crept
Orchids-
In front of the favorite
Mirroring her
Pale features
Surrounded with
Botticelli vipers
Creeping sideways
Out of the copper vase
Orchids-
Devil’s flowers
Those of the old earth
That through Lilith’s spell
And specially prepared
Serpent’s venom
Had been brought
Into the light,
Orchids-
Devil’s flowers
