Imbolc-The Stirring

While most people think of Imbolc as the 2nd of February it is considered a lunar festival and not a solar festival. So we include the full moon that immediately precedes it because that is the point of maximum compression within the Spiritual Planes! Past that full moon the solar cycle will continue to compress the astral layers but the moon has already began to let up and the two activities work against each other. In any case Imbolc marks the midpoint of the solar cycle where the 118 layers of the Spiritual Planes begin to rupture from the highest to the lowest in preparation of the spring equinox where they will pass their energies on downward into the Magickal Planes in search of their counterparts.

It is during this time of year, from Imbolc to the Spring Equinox that you will gain insight into what needs to be done during the coming season. That which was merely a seed or an idea is gradually taking on form and struggling for manifestation. It is this struggle to survive that marks this time of year and it will be during the Spring Equinox that a determination will be made as to which seeds will continue to grow and which ones will die and become fertilizer for the others. So this time, the harshest time of the year, is marked by the struggle to exist against competing forces. The second full moon after Imbolc, the one just before the Spring Equinox, is one of the three most powerful full moons of the year.

If you consider the solar cycle to be a giant heart beat that circulates light and energy throughout Gaia’s energy systems, the winter solstice is when the energy leaves the heart and travels through major arteries. The summer solstice is when that same energy finally reaches the capillaries and is distributed at the cellular level prior to its return back to the heart and the lungs. So the Spring Equinox is when the energy enters the organs and this mid point time is when the energy travels through the main arteries of the body to the various organs.

Put another way the energy is choosing the main events and the most important individuals and directing that energy through them. How does the astral determine which events and individuals to empower? Through the rupturing of the astral planes! As the energy and stress builds it is the weak points that will rupture. So if your dream ruptures and collapses it is because it had too many weak spots or holes in it and wasn’t realistic! If it is well conceived and strong it will hold together and become empowered during this time of year.

I bring this up for those who think casting a magick circle and putting energy into it once is going to be enough to make a difference, it is at this point what they are trying to do will rupture and fail because it has too many holes in it.

Another point that I would like to make is that if an event is ripe for manifestation it might begin in the highest planes as an idea and during this period make it all the way down through all 118 layers to then give its energy to its counterpart in the Magickal Planes. Events and individuals can move swiftly up and down these astral layers or they might remain for years and even lifetimes stuck at a particular level depending on how much energy they are personally generating and adding to the mix.

3rd Quarter to New Moon

At the time of the 3rd quarter all possible events in the Magickal Planes have been squeezed upward and their energy begins to flow into the Spiritual Planes to seek their astral counterparts. At the same time the Spiritual Planes are absorbing energy from the sun causing expansion and growth from the sunlight itself. Again, this is much like the action of a syringe that draws in fluid as the plunger is pulled back.

Once more the activity begins at the lowest levels and gradually moves upward to the highest levels of the Spiritual Planes.

This happens for all 118 layers because it is the energy and not always the event itself that moves upward. Imagine a piano keyboard with 118 keys. Now visualize pressing down the lowest key and sliding your finger smoothly all the way from the lowest tone to the highest. Each note is individually toned. Now imagine it happening once more as the notes are again sounded from the lowest to the highest.

The first sequence ruptures the astral fabric within each individual layer one at a time forcing astral events to either merge, grow or become destroyed. The activity remains within each individual astral layer of the Spiritual Planes.

Then at the midpoint between the 3rd quarter and New Moon the second sequence begins once more from lowest to highest. But this time the astral fabric ruptures and those events and astral bodies capable of moving upward to the next layer do so. In astrology the midpoint is the 45 degree point which is the most powerful in terms of energy.

After each layer has ruptured and every possible event has moved upward as high as it possibly can those events and astral bodies in the Spiritual Planes have merged as much as possible with their counterparts in the Magickal Planes and the energy is once more directed downward. Again these events do not need to be physical events but can be emotional events or spiritual events. They can take place on any level but they will need to be balanced energetically with the Magickal Planes before they can manifest.

You can see how the events and entities within the Spiritual Planes gradually attempt to find a common resolution with the Magickal Planes by going higher and higher. Typically this movement upwards brings things into conscious awareness so that it can be consciously dealt with.

Important events in your own life will not normally be at the top or bottom of the Spiritual Planes but someplace in the middle. They will be toned and activated when their key is struck and not at the exact moments of the 3rd Quarter or New Moon. Any magickal work in the astral planes should be done before the key is struck and that level activated, if possible and not after the fact. If the magickal working is done too late the activation will be postponed until the next month’s lunar cycle activates it! By that time most of the energy will have dissipated harmlessly away.

You can tell roughly where your personal activity is located by the time of your dream during the 3 1/2 day spread. Whether the dream happens immediately after the 3rd quarter or closer to the midpoint. Each lunar cycle will once more activate any active areas so that you may have dreams during the same time each month when that specific layer is activated until the process is complete.

To be more specific any dreams within 3 1/2 days after the 3rd quarter will only have horizontal elements. Dreams within the 3 1/2 days approaching the New Moon will have vertical elements as the astral activity moves up into the next layer and attempts to find it’s complement so that it can somehow manifest.

This completes a brief overview of the lunar cycle and shows how the astral fabric naturally ruptures on its own during the lunar cycle and to a lesser extent during the daily cycle. We now know enough about the astral planes to understand more about the solar cycle which we will be exploring next.

At the time of the Full Moon all possible events have been squeezed into the Akashic Records to manifest as some type of event. The Magickal Planes relax and begin to draw in light from the sun and anywhere else they can get it. It is much like the action of a syringe that draws in fluid as the plunger is pulled back.

At the time of the 1st Quarter all possible events have been squeezed by the Spiritual Planes and the energy they contain moves down into the Magickal planes to find their counterparts. This happens for all 118 layers because it is the energy and not always the event itself that moves down. An event in the upper emotional realms may find physical manifestation in the upper emotional realms as an example. Not all things become physical events.

Immediately after the 1st quarter the compression of the Magickal Planes begins.

Imagine a piano keyboard with 118 keys. Now visualize pressing down the highest key and sliding your finger smoothly all the way from the highest tone to the lowest. Each note is individually toned. Now imagine it happening once more as the notes are again sounded from the highest to the lowest.

The Akashic Records

Earth, Moon, Space, Space Travel, Astronomy, Universe

Take a cross section of Gaia at the equator and visualize that slice of balanced events or record of balanced events moving through time and space so that instead of a sphere you have a long flat plane that resembles a football field marked with 10 yard lines. At one end is the beginning of an age and at the other end is the end of an age.

That is the vision I had to the new age that we are currently entering. I had that vision over twenty five years ago and I still consider it to be a true vision of Gaia and humanities future. You see, before an age can begin it has to have an ending!

The classic book by Michael Harner “The Way of the Shaman” casually mentions how a true shaman gets a vision to the seven great ages that Gaia has gone through. For me these visions were extremely vivid and included the one about the age of the dinosaurs as well as several earlier ones about the evolution of life on Gaia. Those visions were part of my history as well. I was one of the souls there at the beginning as were many of us.

But this vision was of the new age we are just entering and at the end humans had merged with some type of reptilian species. Humanity didn’t exist any more, at least not as we know humanity today!

The point that I’m making here is that each age is energetically blocked off with definite starting and ending points. All the karma and the energy has to be balanced. That is what the Akashic Records are, a record of an entire age from beginning to end. And before it can even begin the ending needs to be there as well so that it is balanced. Once the beginning point and ending point have been determined the energy is released and free to form its own versions of the past and future that swirl above and below the Akashic Records. These alternate versions of the past and future are the Spiritual planes and the Magickal Planes that I posted about earlier.

Because there is truly no such thing as time the past and present are always in flux and the Akashic Records are living things that alter as well. But they can only alter in a way that ultimately keeps the same balance at the end of the age. Once the pieces have all been created they can be mixed and stirred as much as possible and the Akashic Records can be rewritten and are always being rewritten!

We are stuck in the present moment as we travel through the existing version of the Akashic Records. So we each have a destiny or plan to follow. When we try to change it we are trying to change every other thing that happens within that age and that is extremely difficult but possible to a degree.

For example it was written in the Akashic Records that the last age would end with the destruction of all life on Gaia in the nuclear holocaust of WWIII. But we avoided it and in avoiding it changed the beginning of this one. The rich and elite were supposed to survive in their underground bunkers and emerge when it was safe to take over the remainder of humanity and resume rulership of the entire world. Things didn’t turn out that way and that is why we have this mess we are in right now! Because we averted WWIII.

But back to the Akashic Records. They emerge from the Cosmic Sea of the final element Oganesson, the noble gas. The emerge from the Cosmic Womb and Gaia emerged first. Then the life upon her emerged. Life has evolved through several great cycles and now we have made it to another great cycle. Look around you. What you see is what the Akashic Records have written for you! Do you like what you see? If you don’t you need to do something about it. The circumstances that currently surround each one of us individually are in the process of crystallizing. The new balance has been struck and both the beginning and ending of this new great age have been written. It is up to us the write the middle chapters!

The Akashic Records is the world that our etheric double lives in. It is the Summerland. It is the world beneath what we call physical reality!

The Spiritual Planes

Continuing our study of the astral planes we will first consider the spiritual planes which cover the entire northern hemisphere from the lowest level to the highest. But everything in the spiritual planes has a north magnetic or expanding nature. Objects or events within the spiritual planes do not want to mix and mingle. They begin as archetypal objects and events and want to remain that way.

They may gradually work their way down to the lower levels but for the most part the spiritual planes represent future probable events. Things that may happen in the future if they ever work their way down and find their missing south magnetic half. This can be long term future as in thousands of years from now, or it could be a timeline for a life. Also it might be things that could possibly manifest in the coming year if they can be balanced with their counterpart as I’ve mentioned.

To understand the astral planes we need to understand that there is a part of our awareness that is within our physical body and other parts of us that leave our physical body and travel through the astral planes while we are asleep and dreaming. These astral bodies go to specific locations within the astral planes where they are needed. Where important events are getting ready to manifest as physical events or to shape possible future events.

I’m taking a detour here but this is important to understand as well. We are all broken and we are seeking or should be seeking to become whole again! This brokenness exists in physical life and in the astral and it takes different forms in each. First we will talk about normal ego awareness of the physical body and physical reality. It is an illusion!

To be even more specific normal ego awareness which we have of daily events is often not even ego awareness which implies a unity. The awareness of most people operates through valences or masks that we wear according to the situation we find ourselves in. So we act, think and exist as a parent when we are dealing with our children; then we change masks or valences and act, think and become like the children we once were in dealing with our own parents. Then we again change masks and become someone else when we are with our lover or our friends. Then we again change masks and become someone else entirely at work! And we don’t even realize that we are shifting from one state of awareness into another!

In the astral we don’t have masks or valences, but we do have astral bodies that exist in different levels. The astral body in one level might not know anything about the astral body that exists in another level. I remember a dream where my dreaming body encountered another of my astral bodies that was lying down asleep. And of course I had a third awareness that was watching the whole thing!

So both in physical life and in our astral life we seek the integration and harmonization of all our parts both physically and astrally!

Now our astral bodies may journey during the night as we sleep and they will be charged with the energy that we have generated during the day. They will be drawn to the proper place to discharge that energy within the earth’s astral planes. That is what our dream is, the discharging of that energy and the resultant reaction.

Now I will be saying this over and over as we go along, so you will gradually become familiar with how the astral is manipulated by the lunar and solar cycles. Don’t get too excited if you don’t get it right away. It will gradually unfold for you as we go along.

From the time of the New Moon to the 1st quarter when our astral bodies journey at night they will travel to the Spiritual Planes because that is where the heavy activity is. The same is true from the lunar 3rd quarter to the New Moon the heavy activity will be in the Spiritual Planes and that is where your dream time astral body will go. So in general the week before and after the New Moon will consist of heavy activity within the Spiritual Planes and that is where you will go in your dreams. I will explore this more deeply when we talk about the lunar and solar cycles. Right now we are just finding our way around the astral planes.

So during one half of the lunar cycle our dreaming astral body is working in the Spiritual Planes and during the other half of the lunar cycle it is working in the Magickal Planes trying to get both ends to meet so things can physically manifest! Remember that each part needs its opposite counterpart in order to physically manifest.

Introduction To The Astral Planes

The astral planes surround the earth or Gaia and consist of her magnetic aura having 118 layers, one layer for each element. As we have seen these layers group themselves into seven different types of energies creating seven different and distinct types of worlds:

Helium-Concrete Spiritual World=2 awareness points

Neon-Abstract Mental World=8 awareness points

Argon-Concrete Mental World=8 awareness points

Krypton-Upper Emotional World=18 awareness points

Xenon-Lower Emotional World=18 awareness points

Radon-Immortal Physical World=32 awareness points

Oganesson-Etheric World=32 awareness points

But closer examination shows that things are a bit more complex than that. Let’s take the element hydrogen as an example. It is the lightest possible element and therefore the highest. It also lies above the helium layer and kind of drifts off into space. Of course the sun is created out of hydrogen that is in the process of turning into helium.

So let’s use helium as our example instead of hydrogen. Helium creates the world of archetypes having only two electrons and protons making it quite black and white or digital or dualistic. But when we think of helium as creating an astral layer around the earth we find it in three distinct locations. It can be in the northern hemisphere having a north magnetic polarity. It can be in the southern hemisphere having a south magnetic polarity. It can also be at the equator having no polarity at all and being totally balanced.

I have already shared how Oganesson is the last possible element and it is a noble gas that we cannot see, feel or sense in any way. It is the vast ocean of outer space out of which life and complex matter arises. It is the Cosmic Womb of Creation and Gaia has arisen out of this Cosmic Ocean. But for anything to physically manifest it needs to be balanced. So physical manifestation begins at what we consider the equator. In the astral this area of balance exists from the highest level of the astral planes to the lowest level and is called the Akashic Records. It is a permanent record of all of creation that has achieved balance and manifested throughout time.

That area above the equator in the northern hemisphere belongs to the future and those things that are possible but haven’t manifested yet. This portion of the astral planes is called the spiritual planes because the north magnetic polarity seeks to keep things pure and highly defined, following an archetypal pattern that is black and white.

That area below the equator in the southern hemisphere belongs to the past and those things that have possibly happened, or versions of the past, alternate realities you might say. This portion of the astral planes is called the magickal planes because its main function is to manifest things through fusion and blending.

There needs to be a match between events in the Spiritual Planes and the Magickal Planes before those events can manifest in the Akashic Records as real physical events. So events swirls around the Akashic Record in both the Spiritual Planes and the Magickal Planes trying to find ways to manifest and that activity is what we are dealing with in this study of the astral planes.

We need to be aware of what is going on in the Spiritual Planes, the Magickal Planes and in the Akashic Records. We also need to be aware of what is going on in each of the seven realms. We live a multi-dimensional existence! That is why we need to permanently activate each possible astral body and integrate them all into one soul body!

The Five Elements and Planetary Magick

Before we get into magick I want to share once more how the Periodic Table of Elements groups the astral planes. But this time with a few correspondences:

JUPITER=MIDDLE of BRAIN CHAKRA=Helium-Concrete Spiritual Body=2 awareness points

MARS=3rd EYE CHAKRA=Neon-Abstract Mental Body=8 awareness points

SUN=SPIRIT=THROAT CHAKRA=Argon-Concrete Mental Body=8 awareness points

VENUS=FIRE=HEART CHAKRA=Krypton-Upper Emotional Body=18 awareness points

MERCURY=AIR=SOLAR PLEXUS=Xenon-Lower Emotional Body=18 awareness points

MOON=WATER=SACRAL CHAKRA=Radon-Immortal Physical Body=32 awareness points

GAIA=EARTH=ROOT CHAKRA=Oganesson-Etheric Body=32 awareness points

The Ceremonial Magick traditions and Asian traditions often associate the chakra centers with the five elements much as I’ve done here. So when they invoke the element fire for example they are invoking Upper Emotional Energy from the Heart Chakra. The same is true for planetary magick. Each chakra center is associated with a planetary energy.

The confusion comes in with shamanism or low magick such as Wicca or some other traditions that simply use earth, water, air and fire as elements without associating them with specific chakras.

I think that is all too confusing and deliberately so! We humans tend to make things way too complex!

My position is that there are simply 118 energies possible, one for each element found in nature and as found in the Periodic Table of the Elements. I do not think in terms of elemental magick or planetary magick. Organic Gnosticism does not deal with elemental or planetary magick but something called Portal Magick which is much more powerful and much safer than either of the others.

The goal is to harmonize and use them all as one balanced and harmonious energy that responds to normal awareness and can be worked with that way. This can be done when all the possible astral bodies have been developed and permanently activated. This is how Organic Gnosticism deals with magickal practice. It works directly with Portal Energy or Zero Point Energy.

But group portal meditations are another way to magickally work with energies while a person is still in the process of developing each possible astral body. Group portal meditations use blended and harmonious energies from all chakras as generated by all members within the group to create a portal that is connected directly to SOURCE and The Womb of Creation. This portal creates a well of Cosmic and Unlimited Power that members of the group can draw upon for magickal work such as healing, astral projection, defense or anything else. The energies of all seven chakra centers are blended to become one energy that is one with SOURCE and also one with The Womb of Creation. It responds to the normal conscious awareness of the members of the circle and can be worked with at will for all types of energy work.

So Organic Gnosticism only works with one Unified and Balanced Energy that is connected to both SOURCE and The Womb of Creation. Because it is balanced and harmonized it responds directly to mental control and there is no need for ritual, spells or theatrics. It is available to anyone with a group portal meditation and when an individual does a group portal meditation there are still others in the circle with him or her who can be sensed, so there is always a group even when done alone!

The process of rupturing the astral planes for males is much more difficult and involved than it is for females but it is still possible. Remember there are many ways this can be done. The difficulty lies in finding a way that can be sustained over long periods of time to allow the alchemical process to purge and cleanse the soul and develop the various astral bodies. It also needs to be safe enough to prevent psychotic episodes as trapped packets of repressed and toxic energy are suddenly released.

The default seems to be the martial arts and sports which are the two things intense enough to ensure the rupturing of the astral planes on a daily basis for males. But we can find lots of other ways as well.

Something needs to be said at this point. Our jails are filled with troubled men, far more than troubled women. As a general rule females are more mentally and emotionally healthy and stable than males. This is probably due in part to how their monthly cycles allow repressed and toxic energies to naturally find their own way out through PMS and females are much more in touch with their emotional natures than men are. Again, biology itself gives the female an advantage in the ability to activate awareness points and the lower astral bodies.

In terms of using sexual orgasm energy to rupture the astral fabric the same way that women are able to do, sperm loss makes this almost impossible unless the male has mastered the tantric art of sperm retention. But this is possible and the way that I myself have traveled this path. I would refer those interested in this to read the book “Cultivating Male Sexual Energy” by Mantak Chia. Again, at this time I am not interested in writing about tantra and sexuality. I am writing this for a course on Organic Magick.

So if you are a male, find a way to rupture the astral fabric on a daily basis. Go to the gym twice a day and work out with kettlebells, long distance running, intense living or whatever. Energy is energy and the requirement is simply that you generate enough to ensure vivid and powerful dreams on a nightly basis so that awareness points and astral bodies can be activated.

The use of altered states and suggestion is even more important for males than for females because the risk of psychotic behaviors is even higher. Safety mechanisms need to be in place before one seriously begins working to rupture the astral fabric on a daily basis. Again, my free online course Organic Gnosticism does put these safety mechanisms into place so that the released negative and toxic energies can be safely released and brought up into awareness by using the OAK energy ball meditation to open and work with each chakra center in a balanced way.

Here is the list of possible astral bodies and their awareness points one more time. As you can see the list is finite. Development and activation is a purely mechanical process based upon the physical generation of energy on a daily basis over a long period of time. It is not based upon skill or technique.

Helium-Concrete Spiritual Body=2 awareness points

Neon-Abstract Mental Body=8 awareness points

Argon-Concrete Mental Body=8 awareness points

Krypton-Upper Emotional Body=18 awareness points

Xenon-Lower Emotional Body=18 awareness points

Radon-Immortal Physical Body=32 awareness points

Oganesson-Etheric Body=32 awareness points

The Left Hand Path and the Right Hand Path

Ok, I promised I would write about the differences between the Left Hand Path and the Right Hand Path. First we take another look at our list of possible non-physical bodies. Done correctly both paths will begin the same with the development of the Concrete Spiritual Body; the Abstract Mental Body and the Concrete Mental Body! But that is where they go separate ways. Both paths begin with a connection to Source and with what we would consider normal awareness united with our Higher Self.

The Right Hand Path will continue with the complete activation of the Upper Emotional Body and then the activation of the Lower Emotional Body and it will never get down to the lower levels during one lifetime! There are simply too many awareness points to develop! Most of the generated energy will be used trying to dissolve the Self into Source. When you become one with all that is you are alone! Much better to pull back down and find a safe place in the Spiritual Light where you can coexist with others!

The Left Hand Path will drill down through each level with 8 awareness points until each level has 8 activated awareness points. This is what the OAK Energy Ball Meditation does. We can use the energy ball itself as a non-physical body of both types of mental energy and get it to function on all seven levels. In other words we actively bring mental awareness down into the lower levels. There is awareness and consciousness but no control to speak of. Then we can tap into Gaia as Womb of Creation energy. This is what my free Online Course Organic Gnosticism does. We use the OAK energy ball to establish a two way connection between Source and Gaia.

Strictly speaking any magickal path that attempts to tap into Gaia energy or Womb of Creation energy is of the Left Hand Path, but might not have the needed safeguards in place. Thankfully most of them never get anywhere because they do not generate enough energy to make a difference.

Drilling down with the OAK energy ball allows normal consciousness to exist at all levels and that is important because it acts as a safety valve to cope and deal with the explosive trapped and toxic energies of the lower levels that might otherwise erupt as psychotic behavior.

The next step is to physically generate enough energy to rupture the fabric of the astral on a daily basis so that it resets itself to our favor. You will know when you have done this when you have an especially violent or explosive dream that seems very real. Once you find a way of rupturing the astral fabric that works for you, you will need to do it on a daily basis.

There is so much that I need to share at this point so please be patient with me. This will take several posts.

But here are some ways of rupturing the astral fabric:

Any athletic exertion that creates a 2nd wind situation; done twice a day. It is the 2nd wind phenomenon that is when the generated energy is being forcibly injected into the astral planes and will cause it to rupture if enough is injected. That is why I used the example of Navy Seal Training in my other post.

But this can also be done with drawn out sexual orgasm energy twice a day fairly close together. (You will know by the intensity of the dreams when this is successful)

You can do this with breath control (not recommended)

You can do this with drugs or alcohol (not recommended)

You can do this through intense study or prayer.

You can do this through fasting.

The main idea is that the body is stressed so hard that the astral fabric is ruptured and a 2nd wind type of situation develops in which the physically generated energy goes directly into the astral and causes it to rupture through violent and powerful dream activity.

The astral fabric needs to be ruptured because that is the only way significant and meaningful development of awareness points and non-physical bodies can take place. I will talk more about this in my next post.
