Going Crazy!

The world is going crazy! People imagine all kinds of things that have no basis in reality. They are obsessed with the politically correct! I’m not joking when I say that I consider these people fools, fools in a madhouse! So what is this obsession, that society has been possessed with? What does it mean to be politically correct? There was a time when people were locked up in lunatic asylums because of their obsessions. But in today’s world we are not allowed to say anything against, not to doubt, the politically correct.

Being politically correct has become an obsession. It fills our newspapers and mainstream media with the babble of fools who suffer from the obsession of morality, legality, Christianity and so on. The only reason this is not recognized is because it is taking place on such a large scale. Dare to challenge the beliefs of such fools, and you will have to guard your back against the stealthy attacks of lunatics. For they will attack by stealth anyone who dares challenge their politically correct obsessions.

First they will take away his guns, then steal away free speech, and then they will beat him with hammers and nails. Every day reveals the cowardice and vindictiveness of these crazy maniacs. And the stupid populace cheers at what they are doing! You only have to watch the mainstream media and hear these people talk to get the horrible conviction that you are shut up in a house with fools.

Is there any difference between a poor fool in an insane asylum obsessed with the idea that he is God the father, the Emperor of Japan, the Holy Spirit or some other great being and the citizen obsessed with the conviction that it is his mission in life to be a good Christian, a faithful Protestant, a loyal citizen, a virtuous person? All of these are obsessions and they take possession of one’s soul in the same way.

These idiots never put their obsessions about being politically correct under the searching knife of criticism. Their belief in the politically correct is unshakable, like the delusion of a madman, whose insane thoughts stand on the firm foundation of conviction and upon the sacred! Yes, the obsession about being politically correct is what has become truly sacred in our world!

Is the devil the only one that possesses people and makes them become obsessed with crazy ideas? Why can’t there be people possessed by idealistic and fanciful dreams of goodness and light? Obsessed by glorious ideas and higher causes! Obsessed people are set in their convictions and will not budge. They will not even consider the possibility that they might be wrong. That seems to be what our world has become!

I Cherish You Because

If I cherish you because I love you, because my heart finds nourishment in you, my needs find satisfaction, then I cherish you out of egoistic pleasure because you yourself are valuable to me. You are not sacred and above all others, but you are unique and I love you because you are you! No one else can be to me what you are to me.

But others prefer that I cherish you because you are part of something higher, family, marriage, church, a fellow countryman or even because you are a human. You are viewed as part of something larger than life, not as who you really are. Mother, father, husband, wife, brother, sister, lover, Christian, Atheist, worker, patriot, and so on. But these are all just small roles we play in life compared to the multi dimensional beings that we really are! We are larger than the roles that we play in life! We are unique individuals!

Is it possible to get behind the mask, behind the roles that we play and discover the real person? Do we even want to? If we know someone too well it becomes hard to hate them or hurt them! If we get too close then we become vulnerable as well and could be hurt. This is a very real danger that we must confront each time we encounter another person and let them into our lives and personal space.

At the same time we need to ask ourselves if we want them to get behind our masks and discover who we really are inside. One of the greatest longings in life is to not be alone, but one of the greatest fears is to really be with someone as we really are and as they really are.

Our world is completely based upon these masks, this lying and deception. Does it really need to be that way? Can’t we be loved for who we really are and love others for who they really are?

To Just Be Ourselves

Sacredness does not exist for the true egoist, but does exist for the false egoist who seeks only for himself while not believing in himself as the highest creator in his life. The one who knows nothing higher than himself, yet is always seeking for something higher than himself. The false egoist abases himself by always looking for something higher to serve and sacrifice to, yet never finding anything worthy. In the end everything he does is for the purpose of exalting his own ego even though it is never satisfied because he truly doesn’t believe in himself.

If you must babble today because you babbled yesterday, then you are not the creator of today’s events. You remain trapped by past events. But by living in the present moment you can recognize and act upon each new opportunity that manifests in ways that will create new and exciting futures that you never dreamed of. This is the moment when you are the “creator” of your own life. You are not only yourself, but the creator of yourself and the creator of your life.

The false egoist fails to recognize this because they don’t recognize the higher essence of their own creator self. Because they fail to recognize their own “creator self” it becomes something alien to them, something sacred to them, something external to them that they can never find. It becomes God!

But the human mind seeks to avoid recognizing its own creator self by trying to flee in every possible direction to avoid taking on this horrible responsibility and power. So one sacred thing gradually gives way to the next and to the next until finally one day there are no more sacred things external to ourselves and we are forced to accept responsibility for our own lives. What is so difficult about recognizing that I am my own highest creator and you are your own highest creator? Why should this be such an embittered conflict? Why don’t we have faith in ourselves? We seem to have faith in everything else!

The Sacred And The Profane.jpg

No matter who we are there are things that we consider sacred and there are things that we consider profane. This is a difficult subject because truth has been distorted so badly that most of the time it is not even recognized. There are people that are quick to say that everything is relative, that there is no good or evil in this world except for the values that we place upon them. In other words they say that good and evil is relative to each individual and might change from one person to the next.

I would like to share that I believe in the healthy individual, healthy self-esteem and that a healthy human ego is needed to be mentally emotionally, physically and spiritually healthy. However, I disagree with modern psychology in its conclusion that the Shadow and Higher Self are normal parts of the human psyche. I believe they are both secondary personalities that need to be neutralized and absorbed into the normal human ego.

When we think of the Higher Self we think of spiritual things and sacred things, but most of all we think of highly desired spiritual things that we do not believe exist inside of us. We wish that we had them, but we feel that we don’t. Because of this these higher spiritual things remain forever out of reach and unattainable to us. What is really happening is that distortion and unrealistic thinking in our perception of the world cause us to believe in something that really doesn’t exist in the way that we think it does. How many times in life have we finally reached a goal that was very important to us, only to realize that it wasn’t really what we had thought it would be? In this way the Higher Self is a lie that deludes us and seeks to hold itself above us so that we may submit to it and spend our lives in service to and chasing after these higher spiritual truths.

What I’m trying to say is that good does exist inside of us. The divine does exist inside of us. And if we can find these things inside of us we can take possession of them and our lives will become richer and so will the lives of others because we will recognize those things in others as well. Instead of having unrealistic expectations of ourselves and of others we need to have realistic, healthy, and human expectations!

Something similar might be said of the Shadow as well. There are things in this world that are twisted, sick, perverted and evil. I will not deny that. But what I am saying is that the Shadow contains those things which we do find inside of us and try to repel in horror and disgust. Once more it is the distortion and unrealistic thinking and expectation that causes harm. We confront our anger or our sexuality, things that are healthy and human and instead of owning them and accepting them we think that anger is bad and that sexuality is bad so we twist them and repress them until they come out in twisted and perverted ways. We do not recognize what is healthy and what is human as good because we have been taught to hate our own humanity and focus exclusively on the spiritual which we consider good. Our Shadow is only trying to protect us and help us to fulfill our needs in life.

The more we try to become like God the more a part of us becomes like Satan! The more we try to be human, the more human we become! The more human we become, the more human others become as well.

The Organic Gnostics

Just as the rational atheists struggled to find the spirit but failed while a new type of humanity called social enforcers discovered the spiritual worlds, but failed to find God a new type of humanity that is just emerging has discovered God in all living things. I call this new type of humanity organic Gnostics because they have discovered the divine within all living things.

The realms of the spirit are infinite and for the social enforcers there is no bridge between the physical world and the spiritual worlds. They continuously struggle against physical life itself in an effort to escape into the purely spiritual worlds where they can reunite with God. This is something that they cannot do until the death of their physical bodies.

But the organic Gnostics have discovered the divine, discovered God in all things that exist and that includes the physical world as well! They have the ability to be multi dimensional, experiencing spiritual things while in physical bodies and experiencing the divine in all living things.

The social enforcer escapes into a world of fantasy and creates spiritual things and experiences spiritual things, but they must always come back to physical reality. There is a barrier that prevents them from living in both worlds at the same time.

The organic Gnostic perceives themselves as both a physical being and a spiritual being and has the ability to integrate them both harmoniously into their singular soul. Unlike the rational atheists that consider the social collective as God, the organic Gnostic recognizes God in themselves and in others, within each individual soul. The social enforcer is still looking for God, while the organic Gnostic recognizes the God that is in them as well even if it is not yet recognized.

For the social enforcer the spirit is the ideal, the unattainable, the otherworldly. The spirit is God! They are all too aware of their own physical natures and think of themselves as less than spirit while the organic Gnostics think of themselves as more than spirit! What has happened is that the organic Gnostics have found God within themselves, within their hearts! And in doing so they have found God within the hearts of others as well! Not only within the hearts of others, but within all of nature and within the hearts of all living things. In this way the organic Gnostic seeks heaven here on earth and has the ability to find it!

The Social Enforcer

In my last post we have seen how the rational atheist ultimately self-destructed as the mind began to identify more closely with spirit than with physical reality. This was known as the birth of the true self or human ego or in psychological terms the creation of the Observer self or watcher. Over the last 2000 years a similar thing has happened to those spiritually oriented souls which I call social enforcers.

In the beginning social enforcers were simply trying to prove the existence of nonphysical awareness, the immortal soul. They denied the world, denied the pleasures of the body, and gave their lives in martyrdom for their belief of continued existence after the death of the physical body. Again this process happened in stages with the mind forging ahead and the heart lagging behind. Long before the Reformation people argued about how many angels could fit on the end of a pin and other imponderables. This was the beginning of people living in their heads.

But things really began to get serious during the Reformation of the church and the rise of Protestantism. Faith and doctrine took precedence over the wisdom of the heart and the heart became empty and incapable of emotional or earthly love. It became possible to kill and persecute other humans in the name of God to save their souls from eternal damnation! What kind of love is that? It is a spiritual love that exists only in the spirit and only in the head! The heart is completely empty!

In today’s modern society this hardening of the heart has reached such an extreme that video games and television shows have become more real to us then warmhearted and kind human social exchanges! We are forced to admit that spirit has led us astray because it has made our lives and our souls empty! Freedom of the spirit and the soul has become escape from life! And the only thing that remains is seductive retreat into fantasy.

But spirit is not capable of destroying the physical world even though it would like to. It knows and recognizes nothing except the spiritual, the nonphysical and has a perpetual longing to spiritualize the world, to convert the world into spirit. So the social enforcer continues on with their plans for the redemption and salvation of the world.

Born Again

There comes a time for some of us when we self identify more strongly with our soul or Observer self or individual awareness then we do with our physical body. This was the goal of the great religions, for the individual self awareness or ego to identify itself as soul or nonphysical and immortal. This is what was meant by the phrase “to be born again”. This stage of ego development had clearly defined characteristics that were unmistakable. For the person who had achieved this state of development they no longer felt the burden of an earthly existence. They no longer fought against earthly things, because those earthly things no longer had power over them. They were not disturbed by the inconveniences of life, because they only lived in the spirit world feasting on spiritual food. They were preoccupied with thought and spiritual things. They gulped down food like animals hardly knowing or caring what they ate or drank. They were always living in their heads.

Compare this view of life to that of the rational atheists. The rational atheists struggled mightily against the forces of nature and the hardships of the physical world. Their entire life centered around surviving and living as comfortably as possible. They made great strides in the evolution of humanity and its ability to adapt to changing physical circumstances. It was only at the last minute that they recognized the power of the mind and turned their backs on the physical world as well. But life that is turned away from the physical world no longer draws any nourishment from nature and is therefore no longer life, but thinking!

But try as they might, the thinking of the rational atheists was not the same as the lofty spiritual and imaginative thinking of the social enforcers. What the rational atheists sought was the true life and the true enjoyment of life! What they thought of was the importance of good health, beauty, wealth and social pleasures.

But what the rational atheists sought for the most, now called the Stoics, was wisdom and life with a practical philosophy. They wanted a calm and placid unmoving life, one that ran smoothly without fear and without excitement. That was the best that the Stoic could come up with, since they could not get rid of the world even though they spent their entire lives rebelling against it. The furthest they got was to deaden their senses and become numb to life. Yet this doctrine of repelling the world and asserting oneself against the world was not a doctrine of spirit. They could not attain the level of separation from the earth that the social enforcers enjoyed.

It was the social enforcers, now called the skeptics, that truly made the break away from the physical world. They felt that any connection to worldly things was worthless and that earthly emotions and thoughts held no truth. The world was neither bad nor good, neither beautiful nor ugly, but only what man makes of it. There was no longer any truth to be recognized. It was all contradictory. What one person called good another called bad and the only way out of the paradox was to leave the deceptive world behind and pay no attention to it.
