Suddenly I find myself in an awkward place where I can’t post enough or share enough. There is too much information and its too radical or new for most people to accept it. Most of what I’m sharing is based upon personal experience backed by solid research. For example recent research such as books by Dion Fortune and Gareth Knight, The Circuit of Force; and Suggestive Inquiry into the Hermetic Mystery by Mary Anne Atwood leave me absolutely convinced that my own experiences are similar to those taught in various mystery schools for thousands of years. But that path has been deeply hidden and held secret. It is a mechanical process that has nothing at all to do with technique, ritual or belief. It has to do with rupturing the fabric of the astral on a daily basis.

But before we get into that we need to share some things that I’ve mentioned over the years and that I recently discovered Dion Fortune wrote about as well. We need the help of others to develop our souls and their powers. In some of my posts about male and female mystery schools I recently shared how soul development occurs naturally during love relationships. This material is included in my free online Organic Gnosticism Course for those interested.

But we need to go beyond that. Occult development requires that we are in an altered state and that while in that altered state we are guided to heal and explore our inner selves. Dion Fortune stated that she used romantic or sexual tension as examples in her novels, but that such work was always under the direction of an elder or adept who made certain that things were kept stable and under control. In addition to an altered state suggestion was also a needed requirement. In her day occultism made use of mesmerism or what is today called hypnosis and took place in hypnotic trances under controlled conditions.

This is why she states that we cannot progress on our own. To a certain extent I have gotten around that in my own path by creating my own meditations and listening to them in an altered state. The meditations themselves create the altered state and the suggestions are the ones that I feel are appropriate.

But even as we reveal this mystery the true secret in not revealed! The true secret involves the need to rupture the astral fabric at least twice a day over extended periods of time and will be the subject of my next post.

But for now I will simply say that the reason soul development is so slow and takes lifetimes is because the astral resists change and will dissipate most of the energy that we generate so that we never get anywhere. So the astral absorbs and even digests the energy we generate unless we give it a severe belly ache!

The daily cycle of the moon and sun around the earth create the tides and those tides exist in the astral as well. We can use this daily expansion and contraction of the astral planes as a giant nut cracker to rupture the astral planes for us. We can’t do it ourselves! We can generate enormous amounts of energy during the day and then let the moon and sun rupture the astral planes for us because what we have generated is too much energy for the astral planes to absorb and digest!

We don’t have the power to change ourselves, but we have the power to throw ourselves in front of the oncoming lunar express that will force the change for us! Of course the astral fabric will rupture at the weakest point and in the beginning the weakest point is always inside of us! This process is the basis of alchemy as we will see in later posts.
