Our awareness of our capacitive physical body places us as individuals or “self” with “not self”, everything external to our physical bodies and “self”, identified with our physical bodies. We do not share our physical bodies with others. We share the external world with others. The external world is “not self”.

Careful analysis of the world of dreams shows an entirely different type of awareness that exists within the inductive world of magnetic field energies. In that world our awareness changes with whatever we identify ourselves with. In that world we have no center of being. Our sense of “self” is restricted to a point of awareness as it flows through images, objects and persons, each of which may temporarily represent us at that moment in time.

Simply put we are where ever our attention is currently focused. We are what we identify with. This awareness is external to our capacitive physical bodies and is a global awareness. Our awareness in the dreamworld encircles the entire world at once and includes every living and nonliving thing within the world. In the dream world we are everything that exists but the focus of our awareness limits us to experiencing only a small portion of it at a time.

Said in another way each one of us is that same dreamworld. That dreamworld is my universe and it is also your universe. We are each aware of different parts of our universe at different times. The points of our awareness travel the magnetic flux lines that exist within the astral planes.

When we let go of a thought or vision anyone else is free to pick it up and add to it or take from it as they see fit. When we first had that thought or vision it did not originate within us. It existed external to us and we turned our attention toward it. We momentarily became that thought or vision as our awareness passed through its dream structure. When we were done with it the thought or vision passed on to someone else with similar interests. In the dream world nothing belongs to us as individuals because everything belongs to us and everything is shared at the same time. We are simply the point of awareness reading the data. The data belongs to everyone.

A progressive energy system will reach a critical stage where it becomes chaotic, then it will change state and become a new type of energy system that is stable!

Besides being the longest basic of chaos theory, this is the most important one. As Einstein pointed out to us, matter and energy are interchangeable. We can think of anything as being an energy system if we want to. The following are some examples:

If we think about something long enough and hard enough we will start to get emotional about it. Our mental energy reaches a critical stage where it becomes chaotic and then breaks through and becomes emotional energy.

If we get emotional enough about something we are driven to physical action. Our emotional energy reaches a critical stage where it becomes chaotic and then breaks through to become physical nerve energy.

The energy must build up to a stressful chaotic level before it can break through and change to a more physical type of energy. If we fill our life with infinite regression type thoughts and worries this energy bleeds away uselessly and nothing gets done. We spend our lives living in our heads! Things need to be pressurized enough for the energy to break through!

Everything follows this basic pattern of progressive growth, disillusionment or death and then rebirth. Both magical and mystical traditions accept this and teach it at some level or another. Conceptual initiation comes first. The novice is expected to master the theoretical work, the dogma and special activities. This is a period of steady and progressive growth as the novice creates the traditions matrix within himself or herself. He or she is creating a personal belief system based upon the teachings of the order.

Upon mastery of the matrix or tradition the novice reaches a critical point where he or she can go no further. This is called the dark night of the soul or crossing the abyss by some traditions. The new matrix is not active yet within the person because old beliefs and lifestyles prevent its emergence. This is a chaotic time for the ego and the sense of self are totally destroyed so that they can be rebuilt and reborn into a newer and more satisfying structure.

They have read and studied the material but are not yet ready to commit their lives to it. This is a difficult time of tension and stress. A person can go through many dark nights of the soul in their lifetime as they increase the quality of their life. Born-again Christians experience this as the ego shifts from awareness of being a physical, mortal body to an awareness of being more than a physical body, and finally to that of being an immortal soul.

Some of us are interested in achieving mastery of our lives. This is the path of self empowerment and total realization of our potentials. To us this offers the ultimate in life and we are drawn toward it as a moth is drawn toward a candle flame. We do not care about the total destruction of our lives that must take place before this can be achieved. We somehow think that we will be spared much of the agony, at least until it is too late.

The book of Job in the Bible has much to teach us about this experience. We will lose everything we hold dear and love and it is only our faith in God will carry us through to the rebirth of our lives of mastery. This is the ultimate in life and is not for the faint hearted. The loss and agony are often absolute.

This is the quantum leap as we are propelled and driven into new areas of existence that we never dreamed were possible. In summary, the new science of chaos theory can be extended from math and science into the realm of everyday life.

Chaos theory itself is not as complex as many think, but it does require a shift in a person’s viewpoint. Instead of madness and chaos it can be a binding agent that unites science, religion, philosophy and metaphysics together.

All Inputs Are Valid!

The most important thing to understand is that energies and stresses will grow to a chaotic and almost intolerable level before they break through and change into a new form and become stable once more. It is the stress and intensity of living that causes growth and quantum leaps.

The still small voice of conscience and the Christ spirit that dwells within each human heart is not philosophical, it is moral! It knows what is right for us and what is wrong for us individually. What is wrong for us might be right for someone else and what is right for someone else might be wrong for us. But we need to live and teach each other by example and trust in the goodness that lies within each of us.

Wisdom comes through life experience and often the troubles that we go through make us deeper and wiser. Nature and life itself tries all possibilities, both good and bad. It tries the good possibilities so that it can experience pleasures and it tries the bad possibilities so that it can develop a resistance to what is harmful and overcome it! If it didn’t explore the bad life would die!

Time after time we see how hardship and trouble brings people together. It is often the negative things in life that force us to rise above them and become greater than what we were. It is important to rise above our current conditions because we each have a high destiny to fulfill and duties to perform in this world to manifest heaven here on earth.

Humanity is at a great turning point and there is a tremendous opportunity to rise above the negativity that has enslaved humanity in the past. The path of the heart is the path of the future! Somebody has to show the way! Somebody has to go first! Let it be us! The conflicting duality of good and evil need to be replaced with the dual loving embrace of male and female.

The Organic Gnosticism of Pre-war Germany

This is an attempt to explain the persistent rumors of the so called dark current and evil occultism of pre-war Germany that persists despite little evidence of occultism. It is rather a Black Energy or Dark Current that is sensed, feared and confused in the mind of the public with Satanism and evil.

I became interested in this question through my translation work of Hanns Heinz Ewers and Stanislaw Przybyszewski, both reputed Satanists. What I have discovered sheds a spotlight on both German Occultism, Modern Satanism and Organic Gnosticism and raises even more questions that need to be asked.

This account holds both the ridiculous and the horrible and is a tale of humanity. I ask the reader to keep an open mind as I delve into previously unexplained details of occultism and metaphysical realities and try to explain how Organic Gnosticism was originally a form of Tantra, the Path of Woman and the path of Divine Counterparts.

The first thing to be confronted is the reality of non-physical worlds that are just as real and substantial as so called physical reality. This includes the reality of the soul and the astral planes. If you can’t believe in the soul and the unseen worlds you can’t believe in Divine Counterparts.

This Black Current or Black Magical Energy is sex energy, plain and simple. If a person strongly works with sex energy as in tantric sex exercises of any type whatsoever, their aura will become black. Sexual energy is black and it is pure. There is no evil or perversity about it. The most spiritual and religious person in the world can work strongly with sex energy and their aura will take on this “black” color.

The problem is that this sexual Black Energy lies beneath fear energy and to consciously work with it one must confront and work through their personal fears. When sensitive people encounter people with this Black Energy in their aura it activates the energy of fear within them, they become afraid and think of these people as “black” magicians.

This Black Energy is the lowest etheric energy possible before physical manifestation and to be able to consciously manipulate it is to be able to do magic and to alter physical events before they manifest. This ability to do magic is real and not an invention of crazy people although many don’t have the mental and emotional stability to control these non-physical forces.
The goal of the magician is to permanently activate a non-physical body created of this Black Energy . When this is done one is able to function at this level and perform “magic”.

The world of our dreams is as real and physical as the physical world. By saying that the world of dreams is physical I mean it is physically created out of the magnetic field energies that surround the earth. It has a physical basis or energetic basis.

The danger is to fall into the trap of assuming the physical world of everyday life is separate from the more subjective and seemingly invisible world of dreams. It is too easy to say the world of dreams and imagination has no basis in physical reality and thus does not exist.

It is too easy to create a spiritual world spun out a fantasy that doesn’t follow the scientific laws of physical reality and call that illusory world the world of dreams. It is difficult to state with conviction that the dreamworld exists as the magnetic field that surrounds the physical world and also follows the same physical laws of physical science.

We each have a dual awareness. We have an awareness of the capacitive physical world which exists around us and also an awareness of the inductive nonphysical world of dreams that has a subjective quality to it. Both are real and in their own ways both are physical. We co-exist in both worlds.

When we think of a past memory, that image or remembrance exists not in our minds but in this dreamworld. When we envision a project or plan for the future our thought processes take place within the world of dreams and are fashioned out of the substance of dreams. When we day dream our awareness in no longer within our physical body but exterior to it.

The process of rational thought and deductive reasoning exists entirely within this world of dreams. The illusion is that this somehow takes place within our own minds or bodies and not external to us. When we close our eyes and visualize something we think it is in our minds. We do not realize our awareness is in another world external to our physical bodies.

Another basic of chaos theory is that all things are interconnected and affect each other in a cumulative way. A minor incident may cause a more profound change in the outcome of events than ever previously considered. The efforts of one man or woman can change the world!

The classic statement about chaos theory goes something like this. The wind from the wings of a butterfly in Japan will affect the weather in Kansas! While this could theoretically be true there are a lot of dampening factors that need to be taken into consideration. This includes the elasticity of the astral planes and how they resist change.

For example, the lunar cycle alternately compresses and then expands the astral planes in a way that pumps the astral fluid through the connections that we create. If we don’t inject the enough energy into the astral planes daily our energy simply bleeds away. If we generate enough energy to overcome the resistance and elasticity of the astral planes we can create new circuits that will draw new things to us! It would need to be a pretty big butterfly! But it could happen!

All efforts are cumulative and everything does add to the pressurization of events within the astral planes one way or another.

Events are seen as being caused by lots of little things instead of having just one or two large causes. As this type of thinking leads to infinite regression type questions we don’t want to explore it any further. Just admit it could be possible.

Every action has its natural consequences and those consequences once begun will continue on forever! That’s why putting closure to things is just as important as new beginnings. Things that we leave unfinished will drain our energy for the rest of our lives unless we find some way of putting closure to them. Putting closure means balancing something with its opposite!

There is no need to pursue punishment because the consequences themselves will provide punishment enough for any misdeeds! The same is true for good deeds! The consequences of good deeds will follow us forever as well! For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction!

Everyone is doing the best they know how to do. No one gets it right all the time! Cut others a little slack. That act of grace will have consequences later on and you will be glad that you did. Judge not lest ye be judged! Let whosoever is without sin cast the first stone!

Modern society denies natural consequences and that’s why things are so twisted right now! The problems within our society are the natural consequences of what society has done in the past. We don’t fix the problem by reacting to it but by doing the right things so that proper consequences can follow.

Manipulation traps are used to take unfair advantage of someone. We all use them and we are all victims of manipulation traps unless we make the personal effort to treat ourselves and others fairly. They are unfair! First I’m going to describe the most common manipulation traps and then we will talk about some solutions that we can use to ensure fairness within our dealings with others.

The Guilt Trap

We are all familiar with the guilt trip. This is where someone else tries to make us feel guilty so that we will give in and go along with what they want. The bottom line is that this manipulation trap is trying to force us to do something that we don’t really want to do.

How can you treat me like this?

I’ve been waiting all week for you to call!

It’s your fault that I’m upset and can’t get to sleep.

The Anger Trap

This one has been one of the hardest for me personally. I am not a confrontational person by nature and when somebody gets in my face and starts yelling I used to do almost anything to calm them down. Not anymore!

Yelling and intimidation to your face.

Criticism And Insecurity

You don’t want to go play bingo. Your spouse accuses you of never wanting to do what he or she wants. That she always has to do what you want. So you go play bingo. In this manipulation trap you are just made to feel bad so that you will be forced to go along with what somebody else wants.

Obligation

If I do this for him, he’ll have to do something for me.

Here’s a free sample; can I have a minute of your time?

In this manipulation trap you are given something that you might not even want and in return you are expected to give something back even if you don’t want to.

Withholding

If you do that I’ll never talk to you again.

If you’re going to do that you might as well not come back.

This manipulation trap is very obviously unfair and highly stressful because it forces things in a very unpleasant way.

Helplessness

You’re the only person that can help me.

How do you expect me to wash the dishes and still get my homework done?

This manipulation trap forces you to help somebody do something that you might not want to do because they can’t do it themselves.

Hurtful Teasing

That’s How You Look!

You Must Be Related!

The idea is that this manipulation trap uses teasing that hits too close to home and is hurtful or spiteful. So somebody says something mean and then they say that that they were just teasing. What’s wrong, can’t you take a joke!

Questions

Why did you stop at the bar last night?

In this manipulation trap people ask awkward and uncomfortable questions which they already know the answer to just to make you squirm.

The Double-Bind

Are you still driving that old wreck?

Have you stopped beating your wife yet?

This manipulation trap amounts to a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation where you simply can’t win. Some people get very good at this one!

Solutions to Manipulation Traps

The Repeat Technique

Ignore the trap and repeat what you want in a calm voice until they give up. This may take four or five repetitions. Don’t get drawn into the trap

The “I” Statement

Without putting yourself down or apologizing simply state what it is that you want.

I don’t want to go bowling!

Clouding

Respond calmly; acknowledge that there may be some truth to what they are saying, that you will continue to do what you believe is best. Don’t apologize – continue to do what it is that you want.

I may have used the wrong color for that part but I’m going to keep it!

Negative Declaration

Ask questions about the problem until the complaints are exhausted. Admit a mistake or fault without apologizing for it.

What are you so angry about? Are you angry about anything else? Does it help to vent a little?

Compromise without Loss of Self-Respect

If we go to the movies this week we can go bowling next time!

Sidetracking

Change the subject to something that is more interesting.

Who is that on the bicycle that just went past? Do you know them?

These assertiveness posts were originally designed for classroom situations in which each participant could team up with a partner and thoroughly explore how to be more assertive in a healthy way. I realize that I’ve probably created more questions than answers with these posts. In any case, the essence is there if you are willing to work at it!

It begins, timeless
The charade of life
Goddess astride a silver stallion
Romping and singing
In the playground of my mind
Light hearted and sensuous
Behold, the sight of her
Enslaves my heart

The musical comedy goes on
Beneath the silver birch
We walk together,
Hand in hand
She hesitates
Will love conquer
The fear of a Goddess?

Physical competency or mastery is no big secret. It’s like changing dirty diapers on a newborn baby. Everyone makes a mess of it the first few times and through practice and experience gets better at it. Instead of being emotionally distasteful it simply becomes an action or a chore that is done mechanically and efficiently.

In fact, doing something well feels very good! It makes us feel good about ourselves and who we are. In the final stage of risk-taking our actions are no longer hindered by emotions. We are skilled at encountering and creatively resolving challenging situations. Through the long and difficult process of trial and error we become resourceful and even look forward to the next challenge and the rewards it may bring.

This is the stage of personal mastery. In moments of crisis our reserves of creative power automatically take over and do what is needed. This is seen time after time. When our brains shut down our training takes over. Have we been given the training that we need? How do we become trained? We learn by doing and taking risks.

Trying things we have never done before is both exciting and frightening. We don’t know if we will be successful or not. When we first try something we are not successful unless we are very lucky. The key is to have small successes. Small successes teach us the feeling that comes with being successful and develops habit patterns that promote larger successes.

You need to have successes to be successful. Small successes are the steppingstones that we can measure our progress with. Each day contains a small gain or success we have earned, something we have done right that brought a reward. Take a few minutes to think back on the day and remember something that turned out right for you. What was it that you did that allowed the experience to be successful?

Being successful can be just as much of a habit as failing can. The voice of our conscience will instinctively guide our physical actions in ways that keep negative situations from arising if we learn to trust it. First we must learn to listen to it. Are we being true to our inner nature? Are we listening to our inner authority or blindly following some external authority because that is what we are supposed to do?

Physical empowerment comes from having a keen awareness of our physical environment and being deeply sensitive to the possibilities that exist within each moment. Every day is filled with natural closure points and natural beginning points. Are we sensitive enough to sense them or do we push blindly ahead when all the signs say to wait for an hour or two. The voice of our conscience will tell us these things.

When you are in a conversation and realize someone is not paying attention should you continue pouring your heart out? Or would it be better to wait until they are in a more receptive state? Forcing things never works well. Just ask yourself, is this a good time to do this? And listen to your gut feelings and what comes from inside.

For the Master not one moment is wasted or spent uselessly in counterproductive efforts. They are sensitive to the feedback others are giving them and let things go when the time is not right. When things are going well they take advantage of the natural timing and find ways to advance their position.

The Master first passed through each of the previous stages like you and I did. They have risked and risked again. They have been a victim; learned from repeated mistakes; became friends with lead feet, pounding heart and the inability to breathe and to resolutely go forward to physical mastery. This is a natural process and they gladly followed it.

Let us ask again if the phrase “no pain, no gain” applies to the spiritual path and the path of self-mastery. Do things need to be effortless and handed over on a silver plate or is it worth personal discomfort to take the harder path? Is the reward worth the greater effort? Does it feel good to earn things? I guess each one of us must answer this question individually as we come to it.

If I haven’t earned something I don’t want it. We most value those things that we have fought and struggled for. We take for granted those things that have been given to us and not earned.
