Freedom is a powerful word and it evokes powerful images within each of us. To each of us freedom may be something different. Freedom is a need and it may express itself in many ways to many forms of life, not only human life. Freedom may be expressed as:

The need to be free as a falcon. The need for family. The need to hunt. The need to kill or be killed. The need to fly and soar. The need to find our own true will. The need to live and die with honor. The need to be true to ourselves at all costs. The need to live according to our conscience. The need to find the master within.

When we grant others personal freedom and respect we have the right to demand the same freedom and respect be granted to us. There is a great difference between the concept of live and let live and this concept. In the freedom concept we acknowledge that others have a need to act in the manner they choose. We also acknowledge that we have a need to act in the manner of our choosing.

Most importantly we acknowledge the dynamic necessity of each of us living in the same world. The concept of live and let live is passive and carefully avoids the placing of value or morality on any type of life. It denies the need for any conflict in life. In the use of this live and let live concept we avoid the need for giving our support to others. This concept is one of withdrawal and isolation. Live and let live does not work.

Each one of us is a unique individual. We each have personally experience things others have not experienced. We know some things from first-hand experience that others only speculate about. The people and environment in my life are different from those in anyone else’s life. The differences exist even to those closest to me because my world is seen through my eyes and their world is seen through their eyes.

Everyone must walk a unique and individual path in life. One person’s weakness may be another person’s strength. There is no way to say that anyone’s path is better than any other path.

Nature has ordained that all paths must be walked so that we may discover which paths are the best. We must be able to be supportive of those that walk a path different from ours. This is especially true when someone’s path is in conflict with our own. The concept of live and let live does not allow or encourage the support of others. The concept of allowing each to have personal freedom does allow this.

There is a need to acknowledge the rightness of competition. There is a need to be able to say may the best man, woman or team win. There is a need to acknowledge the dynamic vitality of life. There is a need to be united in the mutual need for freedom as opposed to just passively letting everyone do their own thing. There is a need to become involved in the lives of others and in community. There is a need to create an environment for others so they can flourish in a supportive atmosphere.

There is also at times a need to tell others to back off and alter certain behaviors that are disruptive or harmful. At times there is a need to confront others. At times there is a need to fight for what we believe in.

The two outermost electron rings possible for an atom each have 32 electrons which they can hold. This is much more than any of the previous inner electron rings or shells. That means it takes 32 bits of awareness or soul fragments to complete each of these astral bodies. For most of us this is the work of a lifetime or it may never happen at all. it takes a lot of energy to activate 32 bits of awareness. But each bit is simply an electron and an electron of hydrogen is the same as the electron of any other element. Each is the same and takes the same effort to create.

The innermost of these two shells creates what is called the Etheric body and the outer final shell creates what is called the elemental body or etheric double.

The Etheric body contains 32 bits of awareness and reflects a full range of sensory abilities within dreams like reading, writing, smell, hearing and texture.

Sensations like taste and pain are still absent for the most part. They belong to the elemental body or Etheric double.

The Etheric planes are the classic astral planes of magical working. Most magic takes place on the Etheric planes and alters them in some way which will affect physical events before they happen.

In the process of developing our astral bodies there are two paths to follow. The magical path works to develop all 32 bits of awareness which creates the Etheric body and then integrates with the Etheric double. This means trying to develop 32 bits of awareness through the generation and cumulation of physical energy for the Etheric body and then 32 bits more to free the elemental body and integrate the Etheric double. This takes a very long time and a lot of energy!

The most common means of developing these nonphysical bodies is through hard physical exercise and sexual activity. This path works from the bottom upwards and has much in common with the martial arts. Its strength is the ability to manifest physical events. This is the natural path of athletes.

It’s weakness is the extremes of both pain and pleasure which must be physically experienced. You will experience that which you fear the most as well as that which you desire the most. Because everything operates at such near physical levels many toxic or negative factors cannot be safely neutralized. This is why magical adepts seek to develop the higher astral bodies as well so they can neutralize toxic energies.

The mystical path works from the top downward activating the innermost spiritual self first. This shell has only two bits of awareness as mentioned before. Then the second and third shells or mental bodies are created. Each of those has eight bits of awareness or soul fragments. In this manner the higher astral bodies are developed before the lower ones are. The fourth and fifth astral bodies or emotional bodies each are created out of 16 bits of awareness or soul fragments. This can take a lifetime or more as well to achieve. Physical effort and vitality are channeled upwards to activate these astral bodies.

The strength of this path is in invulnerability which neutralizes the worst toxins and negative factors long before they can manifest physically. Nothing can hurt this adept significantly. They are able to transmute negative energy and make it work in positive ways. The weakness of this path is an inability to physically manifest desires in real life. The lower astral levels govern physical events before they happen and these adepts is not strong at these levels. That is why these adepts constantly try to become stronger at the earth levels.

What we call our physical body is really including the elemental body which only separates from the physical body at death or in rare circumstances. These bits of awareness form our physical senses as we understand them. As these bits of awareness are developed they become free to leave the physical body to form what is called the Etheric double.

The integration and mastery of this Etheric double grants us the ability to have normal physical perceptions at the lowest levels of the astral planes and travel the physical earth in out of body experiences. We do this when we integrate our shadow. There have been many instances recorded of this type of classic astral projection. In reality we can project with any of the seven astral bodies if they have been developed correctly.

Female magical energy has some very definite differences from male magical energy. I’ve already mentioned that the Tantric path is very natural for the female. The female orgasm automatically floods the body and sends energy into the astral. This is one reason why females have always been accused of being witches and having the ability to do magic. They are naturally active in creative magic. From the Tantric point of view all they really have to do is prolong the edge of orgasm as long as possible. Tantra also suggests that the woman learn to use the muscles of her womb during sex to press the penis and enhance the pleasure. This is essentially the kugel exercise that pregnant women are taught. That is all old stuff. I want to share new stuff, stuff that hasn’t been shared before my knowledge.

The source of magical orgasm power in the female comes from the ovaries and womb which are located near the heart and solar plexus energy centers. For practical purposes the female orgasm includes all of these energy centers in a massive full body sensation so the heart and solar plexus also play an important part in this for the female. Often this might be such a strong feeling that it might seem the orgasm is centered in the heart itself. So orgasm for the female is very love centered and very powerful and involves more than one energy center or chakra!

Female orgasm energy will tend to fall or drop down to lower levels unless it is consciously worked with and deliberately raised to the higher energy centers. This can be achieved through conscious meditation and circulating her energy upward. This is one of the reasons why many women sink into depression. Their natural energy is drawing their awareness down unconsciously. The reason it falls is because it is a manifesting energy and seeks physical manifestation.

Male energy when mixed with female energy tends to raise the female energy and help it be more buoyant. That is because male energy is expansive and more solar in nature. A mutual working that includes male energy helps the female awareness to rise to the highest levels. In Wicca this practice is called drawing down the moon! It is also why the female often seeks a highly spiritual male partner to lift her own energies as high as possible. This is also why spiritual relationships are so important.

By itself female orgasm energy is very powerful and can be used to block something or used in self-defense by creating a magical barrier of protection around the female or those she loves. The more sexual energy generated for this purpose, the stronger the protection.

One final particular about the female is her ability to choose which energies that she will accept and which energies she will reject or block. She is extremely powerful in this ability and her magic is very strong. The female can magically choose her partner and the energies that she shares with her partner.

The male requires the female to create a space for him energetically or he will not find balance and peace. To create a space is how the female can make an empty house a home filled with love and joy. Without female love the male is empty and without love.

When the female takes in male energy and mixes it with her own it becomes plastic and can be magically worked with to create things within the astral which she desires. Her energy by itself solidifies astral creations while mixed energy allows her to magically work with them and shape them.

I’ve already mentioned how the female takes in the males energy until she is completed and her soul or Observer self is created. She then continues to take in male energy, until she becomes astrally pregnant and gives birth to an astral child which the male then embodies as his own soul body or Observer self. This is the hidden occult meaning of being born again! Females often have dreams of such babies!

Chrysanthemums

Katie, who reads my songs,
Wants me to write about chrysanthemums.
Chrysanthemums—
The flowers that Katie loves.
So now she stands before me at the writing desk,
And I put my head in my hands and search, search
For the soul of this flower—
And I think:
Yes—two images come to me,
That can put me on the track—
One: the delicate, sensitive Frenchman,
Pierre Loti visualized it and painted it
In the foggy tones of “The Boys of Glasgow”,
And hidden in a painting by Whistler,
He called his vision—“Madame Chrysanthemum”.
Yet these flowers speak differently to me,
Still, I can’t find their soft tones
And their voices—
Let me search further—
And the other image?
In my mother’s house, on one floor
In a brilliant white area is a
Black framed sketch of the Madonna,
The one sitting—and on both sides,
Are two small end tables,
Which hold large, gray vases.
But mother always puts chrysanthemums
In the vases,
Chrysanthemums, and only chrysanthemums.
Why only chrysanthemums?
No, red Mallows should be there,
Red, white and violet mallows!
And I search for the soul of this flower,
And can’t find a trace of it anywhere.
I have to ask Katie!
“Katie! Katie!”
Katie comes and rocks in the chair!
“Oh, you big fool!—you muse, muse,
Meditate and think—and my lovely flower
Says nothing to you?”
Then listen: “The coquette shepherd girls
From Trianon, at the festival
Carried colored chrysanthemums on their staffs—
And at the ball Katie laughs and dances,
And on her white shoulders laughs
Colored chrysanthemums.
Fluttering soft petals, like those of the
Colorful shepherd girls, that play in the wind,
That forget all troubles and sorrows.
And the short hours of sweet embrace,
That delight the poor senses!
You see—that—is everything!”
And I kneel:
“Katie, let me kiss your shoulders,
On your shoulders I kiss your flowers,
Soft chrysanthemums:—Katharina!”

The bonds of family and the bonds of love are the strongest bonds possible. We must have the support of those closest to us or we will fail. When our parents, spouse, children and relatives are supportive of us we have the energy and strength that it takes to win in life.

The love, support and energy which we receive from loved ones can get us through any troubles that life might send our way. With the support of those we love, we can do miracles. Jesus said he was able to heal the sick and perform other miracles because the people had faith and believed in him.

The opposite is also true, when family members don’t believe in us it drains our energy and vitality. When we are in conflict with members of our family it is almost impossible to achieve our goals in life.

One of the greatest assets a person can have is the support of those they love. One of the greatest liabilities a person can have is the disbelief or skepticism of those closest to him or her. Most successful people have the support of family and loved ones. These people create dynasties and involve family members in their achievements. These people have the ability to make their personal goals family goals as well.

The family business is an example of this principle. If we can gain the support of our loved ones we are extremely blessed and fortunate. It may be possible to get them even more involved in our lives.

This support is the most powerful force for success that there is. If our loved ones are not supportive of our goals we have a very serious problem.

The problem is even more serious than many suppose. In the long run our success may cost us our relationship with our loved ones. It may turn into an issue of keeping our goals or keeping our family.

To achieve our goals when those around us are not supportive we must work much harder and with much more resolve to achieve any tangible result. It is possible to achieve our goals but it requires tremendous effort which others with support will not have to put out.

Once we have achieved our goals and our loved ones see that we are successful they may become more supportive of us in the achievement of future goals. This is quite common. We need to demonstrate that we have an ability to achieve our goals.

We will need quite a bit of time and space away from nonsupportive loved ones. We will need to demand it for ourselves. They might not understand this need. It may cause conflict within relationships until they can accept it. Once they see how important these goals are to us they may become more supportive of us.

We will need to find others that are supportive of us and the achievement of our goals. We need to find people trying to achieve the same type of goals that we are trying to achieve. These people will become a second family to us. They may even become more important to us than our own physical family.

We can share our goals in common with these new people and they will be supportive of us. We in turn must learn to listen to them and be supportive of their goals as well. These new friends may enter into our lives in permanent ways.

The bottom line is that we can’t achieve our goals totally alone and by ourselves. There must be some people that believe in us. There must be people that offer support and encouragement when they are needed and when we need them.

When we are totally alone we must reach out and find others if we want to achieve our goals. We must create a second family and invest time and energy into it. That time and energy will be returned many times over that time and energy which we have given.

We can hold the vision and perform the actions needed to achieve our goals, but it is the energy of others that will give life to our creations. We can create the flower but it is the support of others that will allow that flower to grow into the beautiful rose it was meant to be. Without the support of others that rose will remain stunted and wilted in a hostile environment. It will remain alive but it’s life will be a struggle and its beauty will be fragile.

It is important that we realize how to be supportive of the goals of the ones we love. We should take an interest in what they are doing and if possible contribute or get involved in a supportive way. Each individual close to us has an individual goal that he or she is trying to reach. Do we know what that goal is?

Are we supportive of their efforts to achieve that role? What actions can we take to be more supportive to the individuals we love? Can we give them the time and space they require if we don’t agree with them? Are we doing our share and holding up our end of each individual relationship?

Are we creating an environment that those we love can grow and flourish and?

The inner circle of electrons or bits of awareness contain two particles and create the archetypal world. The second and third rings or shells contain 8 bits of awareness each and create the mental planes as we mentioned in the last post.

It is the fourth and fifth electron rings or shells which create what we commonly call astral bodies and astral worlds. That is because these are created out of emotional energy and the astral planes are associated with emotional energy.

Each of these rings has a possible 16 electrons or bits of awareness before it is complete. The fourth shell is termed the upper emotional point. The fifth shell is termed the lower emotional plane.

These planes are much richer and detailed than the first, second or third shells because they offer so much more sensory detail.

In the human body these are centered at the heart chakra and solar plexus chakra respectively they form the upper emotional astral body and the lower emotional astral body.

The upper emotional body involves sensations of love and pleasure as well as their absence.

The lower emotional body involves organic and cellular awareness including hunger, fear and pain. It also involves mastery over those things.

We develop each astral body by physically generating the needed energy to create bits of awareness or soul particles which will fill each ring or shell until it is complete. We can pick the astral world we choose to work within. We can choose spiritual energy through prayer and meditation or we can choose the mental worlds through philosophy and words. They all function in the same manner. First we generate the appropriate energy and when enough is generated one bit of awareness is formed and creates one soul fragment.

That first bit of awareness has no other bits or soul fragments to compare itself with so there is the subjective experience of spiritual light or illumination. The addition of a second soul fragment brings an archetypal awareness into that astral plane. Full mastery of that astral plane only comes when the astral ring or shell is complete.

In the astral these emotional energies form separate layers around the earth which are richly populated with the astral representations of living and nonliving things. It is in the emotional planes that most dreams take place. The energy we have accumulated through the day is used by our astral bodies as they leave our physical bodies and journey into the astral worlds of dreams where the energy is discharged through the act of dreaming.

Chapter 6

Tobal stood on flat rock at the cliff’s edge looking down into the valley. He could see the main camp being set up. He also saw some log cabins surrounded by teepee like structures and a smoking fire pit in the center of the camp itself. The people looked like ants from this distance.

He wondered how they were going to make it down into that guarded valley? He couldn’t see any possible way down from where he was standing.

Rafe said, “Don’t worry about it. I told you I know the way down. Just follow me.”

Tobal reshouldered his pack and took a last drink from his canteen. It was nearly empty. He turned and limpingly followed Rafe. He had not tied his boots tightly enough and his left heal was raw and blistered. Rafe had really chewed him out and treated him from the first aid kit. He had been reminded any open wound in the wilderness was very serious and could get infected easily if it wasn’t taken care of immediately. There was limited help available and he had to take better care of himself.

There was a faint two foot wide trail Rafe was leading him on. It sloped steeply downward and Tobal clung nervously to the rock face trying to keep his balance as Rafe scampered on ahead of him. The heat of the sun warmed the cliff face and had melted most of the snow off the trail. They didn’t need the snow shoes anymore and carried everything in backpacks. Rafe sprinkled sand on some of the slippery spots and Tobal used his walking stick to pound away the ice from stubborn areas.

The ledge widened into a real trail with boulders to climb over, hairpin turns, and stomach lurching drops before narrowing down again and hugging the cliff face so tightly that Tobal needed to move sideways along it. There were no handholds or supports and it was slow going made even slower by his extreme nervousness. He had never liked heights.

He half slid, half fell, but managed to stay on his feet. More than once the sturdy support of his walking stick helped him keep his balance. Rafe had long since disappeared down the trail and Tobal felt alone and abandoned. He went around a large boulder where the trail widened into a road and leveled out. He heard a scraping sound on the rock above him and looked up to see a large gray blanket being thrown over his head as he was roughly grabbed and thrown to the ground.

Tobal was bound and hoodwinked with his hands tied securely behind his back and then roughly shoved by at least two people that led him further down the path for almost thirty minutes. His foot hurt badly and he almost tripped and fell several times but rough hands caught and held him steady as he blindly staggered along.

He was abruptly pulled to a stop and heard a loud knocking three times that echoed and hurt his ears.

“Who is there?” A voice challenged.

“A prisoner, Master.”

“Where is he from?”

“Master, he is from Neo-Rome and comes by way of Old Seattle.”

“What is he doing here?”

“He is claiming sanctuary at Heliopolis, city of the sun.”

“What does he want from us?”

“He can not survive in the wilderness without our aid, he wishes for peace and seeks wisdom.”

“Let him confirm his intentions with an oath.” The deep voice continued. “If your intentions are truly honorable you will be set free and received as a brother into our clan. Is this your wish?”

Tobal nodded his head under the hoodwink.

“I can’t hear you,” the voice bellowed harshly. “You need to say ‘yes, you do’ or no, you don’t’.”

Tobal stammered in a muffled voice “Yes, I do wish to become a member of your clan.”

“That’s better,” the voice continued. “Repeat your name and say after me:

I, Tobal Kane, am a helpless prisoner in your power. I am a native of Neo-Rome and claim sanctuary at Heliopolis, the City of the Sun where I seek citizenship, light and truth. I come in peace. I further demand by right of blood full participation in the mysteries of the Lord and Lady. I swear to hold these mysteries sacred and secret. If I break this oath.”

The hoodwink was roughly lifted and a large chunk of rough bread covered with rock salt shoved in his mouth.

He started to gag but a fierce voice whispered in his ear, “Eat it.” As he struggled to swallow the deep voice continued.

“If I betray the bread and salt may my body be mutilated and thrown to the wolves.”

Panicking, he stammered his reply and felt the sharp pain of a knife point near his groin. Someone was cutting away the fabric of his robe and the bottom half fell to the ground around his knees. He felt very exposed and vulnerable.

“Release the prisoner!”

His arms were unbound and the hoodwink taken off. He blinked in the fierce sunlight and shivered in the cold as the wind swirled around his bare legs. He was standing in front of a teepee. The Master was standing in front of him dressed in a red robe and welcoming smile.

“Tobal Kane,” he said, “welcome to our clan.” The fiery figure stepped forward and embraced him in a crushing bear hug. “Come in, sit down! We greet you as a brother and a seeker after the hidden wisdom of Heliopolis.” They entered into the warm teepee and Tobal sat on some warm furs next to the cheerful fire in the center of circular structure.

The Master clapped his hands together loudly. “Proclaim the arrival of Tobal Kane to our entire camp!”

“Yes Master,” a black robed guard replied. Bowing stiffly he backed three steps before turning and leaving the teepee.

Tobal heard the guard shouting loudly, “Welcome Tobal Kane, the newest member of our clan!” Then he heard sounds of scattered applause, whoops and yells of welcome.

“The Master turned toward Tobal, “You will need the sign and password of our clan to enter our camp in the future. The pass word for the present month is…” and he whistled a tune that Rafe had been whistling from time to time.

“Before you leave I will give you the first of our teachings. Remember this and dwell upon it in the days to come.

Those that wish to be free must submit to some form of discipline and organization. This evening you will be initiated as an Apprentice and expected to complete the duties of an Apprentice. If you do not have the self discipline you will find your time among us very hard. Our goal is the development of self discipline and personal freedom. If you learn your skills well you will discover personal freedom and self empowerment that you have never dreamed of.

The rules of our clan are as strict as the rules of nature. A ‘Circle of Elders’ guides us in all things. Respect them and go to them for advice and counsel when you need to. Don’t worry about the apparent restrictions your obligations will place upon you. They are designed to free you and assist in the personal discovery of your own ‘True will’. In finding your own internal authority you will no longer need our external authority. That is when you can follow your true destiny in life. It is our wish you find your own internal Master and allow him to guide you in all things.

We have no way of knowing what your true destiny might be. You have the right to discover and follow your true path and none of us shall ever stop you. We will place power and knowledge in your hands. Remember you have made a solemn oath to us of your good will and intention.”

“Now,” the Master clapped his hands and smiled, “You need to be prepared for your Apprentice initiation.”

The Master and four black robed guards led him to another teepee that had a fire burning within it. Tobal was introduced to five others that were also going to be initiated that night. He was left there to share a light meal with his new comrades. Several hours later the Master and guards reappeared and addressed each of them.

“Do you wish to take the Apprentice Initiation?”

“It is my wish,” said Tobal solemnly along with the others.

“Then you need to be properly prepared. Guard!” The Master indicated toward Tobal and the others.

“Take these candidates to be prepared.”

The guard silently took the small group to a sweat lodge and told them to purify themselves first by the steam and then by diving into the pool of icy spring water that was close by. Tobal dropped his clothing with the others and walked naked into the sweat lodge. There were three girls and three boys but no one seemed to notice anything unusual about it.

Tobal sat in silence and meditation with the others for thirty minutes in the steam until the sweat was pouring off him. He had been instructed to choose a magickal name for himself. During this time he had also been instructed to think about why he wanted to become an Apprentice. His thoughts naturally turned toward his parents and how they had somehow wanted this for him.

The sweat poured off as his stiff muscles slowly loosened and relaxed. He felt clean and refreshed. He was also getting excited about the coming initiation. Two of the others had already left the sweat lodge but he still hadn’t decided upon a proper magickal name for himself. Suddenly it seemed his mother was whispering to him, “Brother Oak, you will be strong like an oak tree and help your brothers and sisters.”

After another five minutes in the steam he ran out and dived into the shallow pool of icy water gasping as the shock took his breath away. He staggered gasping out of the pool and ran into the main teepee where he grabbed a blanket and began rubbing his body furiously trying to bring the circulation back. He felt a bit strange and silly as he picked up his mutilated robe and put it back on. It was no longer a robe but more like a tunic that came down just barely below his waist. The cool air and a slight draft made him keenly aware of his lack of underwear. He made a mental note to make some as soon as possible. The unaccustomed draft made him feel vulnerable and uncomfortable.

He laughed and moved nearer to the fire joining those already there. They joked about the coldness of the icy water and the draftiness of the shortened robes as they made room for him at the fire. That broke the ice and they chatted as one by one they were taken to their initiations. Finally Tobal was left alone in the teepee. He was warm by then and even opened the door flap and sat in the opening looking out as he waited.

Otherwise

You have described me wonderfully,
How I have almost destroyed your love;
But me—you—you don’t love me,
Otherwise you would love me differently.

Otherwise you would want to please your friend,
And not think of reputation and duty,
And I would thankfully press my face
Into your blissful breasts.

Otherwise I would not remain so mute,
When you mouth speaks to me of love;
Not I! —No, no, you don’t love me;
Otherwise—oh, otherwise, I would love you!

If we don’t like the position we currently hold we are always able to win a better position through personal effort and struggle. Our position in life is determined by our effort and by our productivity and not by right of birth.

Those in positions of power through chance or birth cannot withstand the advances of those that struggle for a better world through personal effort. Life is dynamic and each position within the hierarchy is open to the competitive newcomer,. It is always possible to win a better life. It is also possible to lose your position in life to someone who’s more qualified, someone that puts out more effort.

At first we don’t know how to get the things we want in life. We have no experience and our computer program doesn’t include the proper steps for us to take. We can only work within our programming and our programming doesn’t include how to attain our goal.

All we have in the beginning is a strong desire to achieve our goal. As we hold this desire within us it gradually gains strength and will subconsciously lead us toward the way of achieving our goal. This subconscious behavior occurs during the development of spiritual energies within us. Our longing takes on the importance of a spiritual quest. The development of spiritual energies is passive and we don’t realize any volition on our part

One day apparently by accident we talk to someone or see a book about our goal. Our goal has found us; we have not found our goal.

This spiritual longing develops into a mental study of how to achieve our goal. We become aware of behaviors and activities that will lead us toward our goal. We also become aware of behaviors that lead us away from our goal

We learn as much as we can about the achievement of our goal from as many sources as possible. At some critical point we attempt to put into our own words and understanding those things which we have learned from outside sources. We attempt to make this knowledge our own, individually suited to our personal situation in life

We attempt to plan a course of action which will allow us to achieve our goal. The time will come when mental thinking is not enough. We will have enough confidence in our plan that our emotions will force us to take risks in a beginner fashion.

As beginners we try our first attempts to achieve our goal and discover that the achievement of the goal is not as easy as we had first thought it would be. Things are much more complex. In our efforts we are achieving first-hand experience relating both to our personal situation and toward the achievement of our goal.

Only pure desire and truly wanting to win will give us the emotional energy to physically go forward in spite of personal fears, lead feet, weak knees and allow us to get through this difficult novice stage.

Winning is a learning process and a cycle. We go from awkward beginner to basic familiarity and on to high competence in the area of winning our goal

Each step or stage must take place as an easy gradient. Set a realistic goal for ourselves within a realistic timeframe

The final end result is always the same. That which is truly earned gives more joy and satisfaction than that which is no challenge at all. We enjoy challenges to the extent that we can solve the challenges.

When we are confronted by a challenge that is too big for us it can shatter our lives. We must be able to break any challenge up into smaller goals that are achievable. When we do this any goal is achievable. When we do this we can win.

Last time I mentioned how hydrogen and helium combined in the astral as two bits of awareness or sensory inputs to form the archetypal spiritual planes. This level is limited in depth and often appears as black and white because it only has the two elements to create with.I also mentioned how the astral body at this level is human shaped but like a balloon with no defining characteristics or depth. Physics and science tell us that the atom can have up to seven rings of orbiting electrons around it. This means seven shells or astral bodies are possible

The innermost astral body is created from two bits of awareness as we have already mentioned. Let’s move on to the next electron rings.

The second and third shells or rings around the nucleus of an atom each contain a possible eight electrons or bits of awareness. It takes eight bits of awareness to create an astral body in each of these astral planes. These create two mental planes and each one is essentially visual in nature.

These astral planes are the abstract mental plane and the concrete mental plane respectively. The mental planes have more detail than the spiritual plane but not as much detail or sensory data as the emotional planes.

The abstract mental plane consists of images too complex to easily place into words. We experience this world through the images of our imagination. This is also the realm of philosophical thought and reasoning. We leave our physical body when we journey in this astral plane. A good example of this is when you become lost in a good book and are not aware of what is going on around you in the room.

The concrete mental plane consists of words and the lower ego or self-awareness. This is where we process much of our sensory data and make meaning of it. This is where we spend most of our waking life simply being aware of our surroundings.

Astral bodies at these levels lack feeling and emotion. There is a detached aspect that allows us to observe what is going on around us and not get caught up in it. The imagery is rich and detailed. These astral planes seem very much like dreams which lack emotional content.
