Working With Magical Energy Part 3

This is also true with organizational or group Magical workings. The collective force of the group may think that it is shielding itself from this negative aspect but a cancer will start growing in the heart of the group itself even as it gets those physical things that it wants through Magical workings. Everything will outwardly appear as very positive and dynamic but inwardly the self-destructive seeds will be sown with inevitable results.

Typically, an established organization has a leader that as a Magus has perfected the causal link with physical reality and established an egregore for the organization. It is this person’s influence that allows the entire group or organization to think that it’s Magical workings are effective.

The leader is given Magical energy by the others and gains power and through the causal link gets physical results. As the others learn and master the leader’s technique their energy is returned to them and they personalize the leader’s technique to fit themselves as individuals.

Within these organizations all Magical energy is combined with Spirit energy within the egregore of the organization. This confines all of the energies so that none may escape and allows them to build up past the chaotic phase and become new types of energy. Still the dual nature of Magical energy remains and the student will be required to master many things that he or she would normally not do. They will also learn to give time and energy freely to create a void that will bring even greater things in return. These organizations will follow the positive methods of working with Magical energy.

To state this clearly, Magical work will always be dual in nature when performed by itself. Any physical event created in this manner will also create an opposite effect to balance it.

In contrast any Magical work combined with Spirit energies will resist becoming physical events until the Magus perfects a causal link between the Magical planes and physical reality. This type of Magical work without the causal link to physical reality is a type of inner work that can be very important to the process of spiritual development. Pure Magical work may create the illusion of working without the dual aspect but in reality it increases self-destructive potential.

Those that practice Magic in combination with Spirit energy often feel that true Magic is about personal inner growth and not about getting physical results. They feel that it is a spiritual thing and deals with helping others.

Pure “black” Magical work can best be seen in people that lie, cheat, steal, and harm others for personal gain. They think such measures work but lose their humanity in the process.

The best method is to become a Magus as quickly as possible and perfect the causal link with physical reality. In this way any rituals, spells, and charms will work as they are intended to. The methods given in this book will help anyone to achieve this. This achievement is not easily done and requires several years to accomplish. In the meantime much progress can be made directly through the three positive methods of working with Magical energy.

Magical energy is a combination of male and female astral energy. Too much male energy creates a destructive magical energy. Too much female energy creates a blockage or restriction. When the mix is perfectly half male and half female energy the magical energy can be molded easily into any shape or form desired.

Group magical energy shares the characteristics of all the people contributing to its formation. This means that you can shape it the way that you want but someone else from the group can go behind you and alter it the way that they want. Minor adjustments will be made by all group members until a common compromise shape is formed. This will then be the final shape the energy will take. It will have a dual aspect to it or a compromise quality.

Any astral creation or event that is not phase-locked with soul mate energy can be altered by someone else. Phase-locked magical energy can’t be tampered with by anyone else. This makes this type of magical energy highly desirable. Once astral events have been created by this phase-locked energy they will happen sometime in the future. They will happen to you and not any one else.

Unfortunately, sometime in the future means in your next future life! Phase-locked energies create events for your next life and not for this life. Opposites attract and like repels. These phase-locked energies repel from you and your soul mate because they are like you. They are you! The type of life’s events that you will attract are those that you don’t want because they are not like you.

Mystical and spiritual types recognize this and they “accept” the things that happen to them as past karma. They hope that living a “spiritual” life will create good karma for them in their next life. “Accept today’s blessings and be thankful for them. Live a good life and love each other. You will get your reward in heaven or in your next life!”

Astral Elements Within The 2nd Electron Shell

ELEMENTS WITH TWO ELECTRON SHELLS

Element #10 Neon
This element is an odorless gas and one of the noble gases. This element also has two complete electron shells. Because it’s outer shell is complete it serves as a natural barrier in it’s astral aspect. It resists attempts to pierce through it and is one of the veils mentioned in occult literature.
This barrier separates second “chakra” energies from third “chakra” energies. It also stabilizes second “chakra” energies.

Element #9 Fluorine
This is a pale yellow gas that combines easily with other elements. This level signals our entry into the spiritual levels and the development of our “spiritual” awareness or our higher self.
At this level we can easily combine and “harmonize” with other astral events and beings that before opposed us.

Element #8 Oxygen
This is a life supporting gas that makes most fuels burn. The consuming element can easily eliminate obstacles and frustrations giving us a “spiritual” tolerance of others and of life’s difficulties.
Our problems no longer exist.

Element #7 Nitrogen
This colorless, odorless gas is a part of all amino acids and the building block of proteins. It does not combine easily with other elements.
This is the level of our “soul” body and the seat of our individuality. Here we make the final determination of where we begin and others end. This is who we really truly are.

Element #6 Carbon
This is one of the most important elements since all living things are based on carbon. Here we are a part of the entire living universe. There is no sense of self at this point. Only a sense of oneness with all things.

Element #5 Boron
This is an extremely hard element essential to plant growth. The hardness indicates a barrier aspect associated with plant life. Here is the “group soul” or guiding aspect of plant life in nature that protects plants and ensures the long term survival of them.

Element #4 Beryllium
This brittle light weight element has a high melting point and it absorbs and conducts heat. The brittleness suggests that this is an astral barrier as well as an energy sink.

Element #3 Lithium
This is the lightest known metal and it is used in high temperature compounds. It reacts with water to form hydrogen but does not ignite. It is used in batteries. Here we find the “collective soul” of humanity and its guiding forces.

In summary this level is divided into six distinct sections.

DIVISION LIV

This is the barrier or veil that separates first “chakra” energy from second “chakra” energy. It “isolates” the “tank” current of this group of elements and tries to maintain the stability of this level of the earth’s astral layers.

DIVISION LV

This is the level of the higher self or “Christ” consciousness. From this level we glimpse higher “truths” about life and the universe and return back to the mental levels with these insights.

DIVISION LVI

Here is our “soul” body. That part of us that is the immortal essence of who we really are. Beyond this level the concept of ego is meaningless. This is our soul personality developed over many lifetimes. It is also known as the reincarnating ego.

DIVISION LVII

Here is the experience of “cosmic awareness” where we experience being a part of all living things. We are all part of the same “soul”.

This is where we find the group soul of plants, their protective and guiding intelligence.

This is where we find the group soul of humanity and it’s protective and guiding intelligence as well as the group souls of other animals.

Missing Key To Organic Gnosticism

I’ve talked about how I’ve been trying to trace the roots or the energetic current of Organic Gnosticism, which is a method of developing the soul based on love relationships between men and women. It seemed to have disappeared around the first millennium because of persecution. It went deep into hiding. Or so I thought.

In thinking about it a little bit more, I remembered a passage that Hanns Heinz Ewers wrote about intoxication and the creation of works of art and I think that passage says a lot and is in fact the missing key that I was looking for.

Basically what they’re talking about is that when the physical body generates excessive energies the soul is created. So the trick is to live life in an excessive way as opposed to living in a denial of life. What’s not really understood is that if you deny yourself all of life’s pleasures and sorrows the stresses on the body are still generating energy. If you inflict pain upon yourself, your body is generating the energy of pain which is then used to create the soul body. If you experience passion and ecstasy the physical body is doing the same thing but with a different kind of energy.

Here is a small quote from Ewers:

“Can the intoxication induced by a narcotic help contribute to the creation of a work of art. I will answer that question. Here it is not only capable of it, but can even under certain conditions spawn completely new works of art. I will prove that it is capable, that it is the law of the artist that the alcohol question only points out.

It is a lot like all the other customs and laws that govern the artist in general. It is certain that an individual’s intelligence determines what he is able to accomplish in the state of ecstasy. It is precisely this state of ecstasy that is important, not whether it is achieved naturally or through the use of narcotics.

If the creator of a magnificent work of art uses natural means to achieve ecstasy, so much the better. But the grandeur of his work is no less if that is not the case. This remains true of most artistic creations. The causes that bring about suitable conditions for artistic ecstasy are not as common as blackberries. The ecstatic inner experiences of every living person come less frequently as the person ages.

The mature person is less capable of inducing an artistic ecstasy through natural means. The youth swims in ecstasy and passion but doesn’t know what to do with it. The mature person knows what to do, but the ecstasy and passion may stay away for months and years at a time. That is the truth behind these old phrases, “The passion of youth, the tranquility of age”; “The average life of the talented artist in youth is passion without skill and in old age, skill without passion and never a completed work of art.”

However, if the intoxication produced by a narcotic is capable of producing a suitable state of ecstasy under certain conditions, why not use it. Because it is not natural? Ice machines produce ice that is just as cold as the ice on frozen ponds.

The value of a great work of art is completely independent of whether it was created out of the ecstasy of a great love, or that of a wine bottle. The real issue is whether this ecstasy remains unconscious or can be brought into consciousness and worked with. Not if it was brought about naturally or artificially.

A creation through intoxication is as difficult to put into words as a creation through the emotions of heartbreak and misery, but both intoxication and strong emotions are capable of vibrating the strings of the artist and perhaps occasionally producing a state of ecstasy. This creation of a state of artistic ecstasy is always accompanied by a physical, thoroughly sober mental state.

The most beautiful state of intoxication is not capable of bringing art out of a person who has none inside to begin with. You can take any person off the street and put him into the most beautiful hashish delirium, and it will never result in the creation of a work of art unless they are painters, sculptors, poets or musicians in the first place.

Such experiments with intoxication will be completely futile. In any case, the habitual use of any narcotic over a long period of time is to be avoided. In most cases, the habitual user finds it increasingly more difficult to achieve the needed condition of ecstasy. This includes the habitual drinker, smoker, morphine user, cocaine user, and hashish user.

Opium alone appears to consistently lead to ecstasy. It is also the only narcotic not intended for artistic creation. Such use leads to only random and unpredictable results, making it the narcotic of choice for pleasure.

Instead, the artistic process of working through intoxication and bringing art into conscious awareness is gained only later, after both the intoxication and the emotions are gone. Short sentences, words and symbols written down while intoxicated are often enough to call up, even years later, the entire sequence of memories and images of the original experience. That is the moment when it can be fashioned into a work of art.

In general, immense treasure lies concealed within the narcotic for the artist. It is an almost untouched land of gold from which the wise and lucky finder can again and again fashion new works of art if they desire.

Admittedly, the resources of intoxication in no way facilitates or helps the conscious work of artistic creation. On the contrary, the subsequent work of the artist is generally much more difficult. Often extremely difficult. In conclusion, the average writer or painter would not be able to fashion these bits and pieces of captured phrases and words into works of art. They would remain cryptic nonsense. The man on the street says art is not work. It is a pleasure. This is the most belittling lie ever invented by the rich, the experts and the great masses who thoughtlessly chatter about it without ever having experienced even a tinge of ecstasy, let alone created a work of art.

This ecstasy is always in agony of suffering, even when in rare cases, the basis of its production was a pleasure. Intoxication is not some miraculous method that will allow anyone to quickly paint, compose or write magnificent works of art. On the contrary, bringing material out from the subconscious into consciousness and fashioning it into art is something that only a person of high intelligence combined with strong talent is capable of.”

Suddenly, it all makes sense. We are talking about excess and if you remember, Aleister Crowley said, “Nothing succeeds like excess!” But there’s an added ingredient here. The added ingredient is a high degree of intelligence and a high degree of natural ability and talent.

Those are not available to a lot of people, but those people who can open their hearts can find it because it’s not that far away. Just open your heart to the joys and the energies and experiences that life has to offer.

Now that is a description of Organic Gnosticism! I think this really summarizes not only the secret of artistic creation but also the secret of the left-hand path, which is to immerse the physical body and to stress the physical body to its limits in order to achieve the development of the soul and its powers.

As opposed to the spiritual right-hand path which is to deny the physical body; to deny everything and dissolve awareness into the void of nothingness. These are two totally different paths.

Success Counts For Everything!

Happiness, prosperity, health and romantic love are the rewards of a competent productive and honest life. We learn by successfully doing. These things are all based on self-esteem. Self-esteem is dependent on our ability to get results from our efforts. When we get positive results from our efforts our self-esteem increases. Self-esteem allows us to feel we have earned these things and we deserve them because of our competence. We feel good about what we have.

A high level of self-esteem requires total honesty and objectivity. What brings results one day will not always bring the same results the next day. When our efforts do not produce satisfactory results we must ruthlessly throw out those things that do not work and replace them with things that will work. This means having the ability to constantly try new things and improve upon old ones.

It also involves problem solving to discover why you are not getting the results you want. Do not throw away your life’s blood on things that do not bring results. Self-esteem is related to our ability to survive and prosper physically and independently in the real world. It happens when we have that feeling of being in control of our life and able to deal with anything. That is when we feel the happiest and most content. Self-esteem comes from taking our own power and using it through focused effort to achieve our goals in life.

The main point here is that so many people choose to throw their lives away getting poor or no results for their efforts. Much of the time this is because they are busy doing things that external authorities are telling them to do. “If I do what I am told, I will get rewarded.” This is the sick mindset that prevails in our world today. The simple truth is that the system is fixed or rigged and the only people that are successful are those that play outside the system and take unfair advantage.

External authorities will tell you what rules to follow but they will not follow those same rules in the same manner that you are expected to. There is a double standard at work and we loose!

All that I am trying to say is stop and take a real honest assessment of what is happening in your life. Are you moving toward your goals? Are you making gains every day no matter how small? Find those things you are successful in and explore them to find how they can grow even more. Seriously consider getting rid of the dead wood.

Astral Elements With 1 Electron Shell

ASTRAL ELEMENTS WITH ONE ELECTRON SHELL

Element #2 Helium
This element is an odorless gas and one of the noble gases. This element also has one complete electron shell. Because it’s shell is complete it serves as a natural barrier in it’s astral aspect. It resists attempts to pierce through it and is one of the veils mentioned in occult literature.
This barrier separates first “chakra” energies from second “chakra” energies. It also stabilizes first “chakra” energies.

Element #1 Hydrogen
This is the smallest and simplest atom known. It is also the most abundant element in the universe. It is found also in the sun and stars.
This element forms what is known to occultists as the “light body”. Only first “chakra” personality types can raise their awareness to the level where this “body of light” is formed.
“Helium” personality types function here on the surface or top of the helium layer or veil. They are able to gain use and control of the lower astral levels by anchoring this “higher” awareness at the top of the astral veil where only “hydrogen” personality types offer any threat.
“Hydrogen” personality types can gain the ability to function in full awareness at all levels of the astral planes. They can also travel in “awareness” through the cosmic circuit as light and electrical pulses. Such experiences do not last long but a memory of them can be retained.

In summary, elements with one electron shell have two divisions.

DIVISION LX

This is the barrier or veil that separates first “chakra” energy from second “chakra” energy. It “isolates” the “tank” current of this group of elements and tries to maintain the stability of this level of the earth’s astral layers.

DIVISION LXI

This is the level of the “body of light” described by occultists. Awareness at this level can give full awareness of the “cosmic circuit”.

DIVISION LXII

This is the level of the cosmic circuit and of the joining of male-female soul mate energy. It is the level of a form of plastic light that activates the body of light.

DIVISION LXIII

This is the level of pure magnetic vortex energies. The beginning and the ending of all things. This is the final resolution of all karma and the beginning of rebirth.

DIVISION LXIV

This is the level of pure light and electricity. Any awareness at this level would be the awareness of being
a photon or spark of electricity traveling at the speed of light.

Working With Magical Energy Part 2

To ensure that your astral creations become physical reality the way you intend them to they must be created in the Spirit planes and then brought down into the Magical planes. This is done naturally within the lunar cycle. Astral activity in the Magical planes is restricted to those times between 1st Qtr. and 3rd Qtr. inclusive of the full moon. All dream activity and all normal astral activity during this time will naturally occur on the Magical planes. This astral activity sets up the coming physical events for the next month as projected short term events.

All normal astral activity between the 3rd Qtr. and the 1st Qtr. inclusive of the new moon occurs naturally within the Spirit planes and sets up long term physical events. When there is a match between a long term event in the Spirit planes and a short term event in the Magical planes that event becomes physical reality. This interaction between the Spirit planes and the Magical planes is the supreme controller of significant physical events in physical reality.

Simple astral activity on only the Magical planes will mutate to the point where you may get what you want and lose something that you need. It always has a negative element that accompanies it. You may get a raise and find that emergency expense comes up. The final result is always that you haven’t really gained or lost anything. You merely exchange one type of energy for another. Striving for positive things will tend to bring negative things toward you. Paradoxically striving for negative things will bring positive things toward you. This is why doing harm to others often brings positive rewards to those that do it.

In the same manner doing anything that you normally would not do will tend to bring rewards in terms of personal growth. Nature does not recognize good or evil but is instead interested in exploring all options that life has to offer. It rewards those that try new things and punishes those that seek security and sameness.

There are three methods of using simple astral activity on only the Magical plane to achieve positive results. One is through personal loss, when you lose something that you care about a void is created that will draw something toward you to replace it with.

The second is through giving something away that you care about. The principle is the same except that by voluntarily giving something away that you care about you may draw something even more valuable toward you. This is why the best gifts are when you give away something that you love. It will always be replaced with something of equal or greater value.

The third way is to deliberately do something that you would not normally do. This opens up new areas of personal growth and new opportunities. It also contains a certain degree of uncertainty and unpleasantness that goes along with it. This is why most people avoid this approach.

You can see that the Magical plane uses a type of reverse psychology that is difficult to adjust to. But if it is understood properly much personal growth can come out of it without doing harm to others. Only when used in conjunction with Spirit energy does Magical energy perform in a direct and creatively useful manner.

This is why working with straight Magical energy is called “black magic” and to be successful often leads to harmful activities towards others and abominable deeds. This type of work also involves doing fearful things and confronting those fears. It often involves perversions of the three positive methods of working with Magical energy listed above.

All Magical work involving rituals, spells, charms and the like will have a negative consequence to them that will return to haunt the magician unless the work is combined with Spirit energy or in accordance with the three positive techniques. The strongest magical circle may be thought to keep out these negative influences but it doesn’t really work.

What happens is that the negative influences are blocked out of conscious awareness and enter in through our blind spots as self destructive energies. To think otherwise is simply to deny the dual aspect of these Magical energies and increase the hidden self-destructive potential within ourselves.

First Millennium And The End Of The World

Today we are going to cover the first millennium and the events that led up to it after the sixth century. The Pope became more and more powerful. Roman bishops became politicians turning one ruler against another and feudalism became established as a hierarchy and caste system.

Because of all the politics the Roman bishops in the Church were considered the only powers able to mediate disputes among the rulers. So the Pope’s political power increased and the lands that the Church owned increased.

The Church also gained in temporal power during the fifth century. We are going to talk about a few things that should be considered. The Merovingian dynasty was founded by Childric in 457 and was not Christian until his son. Clovis converted to Christianity because of one of his wives. For the first time the whole area of Western Europe or Gaul as it was known came under Merovingian rule.

We’ve been trying to track down Organic Gnosticism and that was further east so I’m just going to leave the west for right now.

I would like to add that in Eastern Europe, the Bogomils came in. They had a civilization that was almost legendary, and then they were slaughtered by the Muslims. That was in Eastern Europe. We don’t really know a lot of what was going on except that there was a lot of bloodshed.

But Western Europe didn’t have it much better as the millennium arrived. I’m going to quote some material here because you would not believe what I’m saying unless I quoted it from a definitive text. It’s from the Medieval Sourcebook. There was a monk historian, Ralf Glabor, who wrote about the turn of the millennium, and I think everybody’s going to find it interesting because we never hear about this.

“For in the seventh year before that date, Mount Vesuvius, which is also called Vulcan’s cauldron gaped far more often than his wont and belched forth a multitude of vast stones mingled with sulfurous flames, which fell even to a distance of 3 miles around; and thus by the stench of his breath he began to make all the surrounding province uninhabitable. ..It befell meanwhile that almost all the cities of Italy and Gaul were ravaged by flames of fire, and that the greater part even of the city of Rome was devoured by a conflagration. During which fire the flames caught the beams of St. Peter’s Church, beginning to creep under the bronze tiles and lick the carpenter’s work. When this became known to the whole multitude that stood by, then, finding no possible device for averting this disaster, they turned with one accord and, crying with a terrible voice, hastened to the confession;”

“even the chief of the apostles, crying upon him with curses that, if he watched not over his own, nor showed himself a very present defender of his church, many throughout the world would fall away from their profession of faith. Whereupon the devouring flames straightway left those beams of pine and, died away…At this same time a horrible plague raged among men, namely a hidden fire which, upon whatsoever limb it toned, consumed it and severed it from the body.”

[Coulton note: this is St. Anthony’s fire, one of the curses of the Middle Ages, which modern medicine has traced to poisons generated in corrupt rye bread.]

“Many were consumed even in the space of a single night by these devouring flames. ..Moreover, about the same time, a most mighty famine raged for five years throughout the Roman world, so that no region could be heard of which was not hunger stricken for lack of bread, and many of the people were starved to death. In those days also, in many regions, the terrible famine compelled men to make their food not only of unclean beasts and creeping things, but even of men’s, women’s and children’s flesh, without regard even of kindred; for so fierce waxed this hunger that grown up sons devoured their mothers, and mothers, forgetting their maternal love ate their babes.”

That was what was happening in Rome at the end of the first millennium. No wonder they thought it was the end of the world and no wonder the Pope wanted out of there!

In all likelihood that’s really why the Pope decided to move the papacy to Avignon. It was basically because Rome at that time was uninhabitable. Okay, now what’s interesting is that we never hear about what was going on at the time in Rome. We never hear that conditions were so horrible, but it was terrible over all of Western Europe as well.

This volcano erupted and there is not as much sunlight for things to grow, so the dark ages ironically were really pretty dark! People feared for the survival of humanity itself.

Think of the Crusades as a desperate action by the Church to regain control of Jerusalem from the infidels.

I’m not going to be talking about the Crusades. They’ve already been dealt with as well as the interaction between the Templars and the creation of the banking system.

They don’t really have anything to do with the subject that I’m trying to pursue which is the thread of Organic Gnosticism or the development of the soul through love relationships between men and women. What we’re looking for is something that was taught to the common people, was available to them, was powerful and it was suppressed. It was suppressed by the educated elite who wanted at all costs to keep control of the general population. So hopefully we are getting an idea of how things developed.

Here we see traces of Organic Gnosticism creeping up within alchemy, but also creeping up in Tantrism and Buddhism and the martial arts. So it’s around but remains hidden, deeply hidden and it’s strongly persecuted.

Personal Happiness

Happiness can not be found in material possessions or in another person. Happiness is a deeply personal inner matter that is a product of our personal choices in life and the consequences of our actions. It happens when we can see the positive results of our efforts.

When we work hard toward a goal and get few or negative results there is a loss of happiness and self-esteem. When we work hard toward a goal and get many positive results our happiness and self esteem grow. When things come too easily or are given to us we tend to take them for granted and take advantage of the situation.

While this may result in short term happiness, it will not lead to long term happiness and positive self-esteem. Understanding our True Will and being clear in what we believe and stand for helps us to act in a confident and decisive manner.

We continually test our individual version of reality by keeping those things that bring results and getting rid of those things that do not bring results. Continuing to put out effort and energy in efforts that return a poor or negative yield destroys both self-esteem and happiness.

When we find ourselves not getting results from our efforts it means there is something we believe in or something we are doing that is not realistic or in agreement with the way things actually are. When we are not getting results it is time to try something else. It is time to consider we are wrong in our thinking on this particular issue. Either that or we must work harder to break through the resistance we are encountering.

Life Is Short And Sacred

Life is short and sacred. Each one of us should be allowed happiness and prosperity according to our own individual needs. There are three requirements that will allow us to achieve our personal goals in life.

First we need to take care of our physical bodies. Our physical bodies are temples and should be as clean and healthy as possible inside and out. This means eating right, breathing right and getting enough physical exercise.

Second, we need a healthy self-esteem. A healthy self esteem will allow us to be confident in our own ability to overcome any obstacles and to get our individual needs met. We need to believe in ourselves and our ability to produce change in our lives.

Thirdly, we need to have a clear understanding of what we believe and act in accordance with our own personal “Truth” or paradigm. We need to be true to our inner voice and our conscience. When we understand our reason for being alive, we can act with conviction and certainty.

When we doubt ourselves and turn to external authorities for the answers that are inside of us, we are hesitant and filled with doubt. This causes us to act indecisive and weak. This includes the understanding that each person has an individual path and an individual “reality” that they must follow. Just because one thing is true for me does not mean that it must be true for the next person.
