I can’t just let this go by without saying anything! There’s no toilet paper at the stores…of course then there is the popular hashtag #BoomerRemover! How is that supposed to make me feel? Then of course is the popular idea that this is the first stage tryout before putting the population into FEMA camps…my entire section at work was told to take last Thursday and Friday off because there was no work for us…many of our supplies coming from China. The nursing homes are no longer allowing visitors…

What I can say is that the s**t is finally hitting the fan and it’s going to be a long year…but we already knew that! Where to even start?

I think the most important thing is to say that we can expect smaller paychecks because of the need to stay at home for self care or the care of loved ones or simply because schools and day cares will be closing and there is no one to watch and care for our loved ones! Can you stay afloat with a 30 hour work week? If you can’t, then find a way now to supplement your ordinary income so that you can. I took $500 out of my 401K so that I can have it readily available in the bank if I need it. It’s not much, but then I don’t have much…

The main focus of this crisis is not medical, but financial IMHO. This move to a shorter hour work week has been a long time coming and needs to happen. It is going to lead to permanent changes that will ultimately be good for society. That means we all need to downsize until it is   possible for us to live comfortably on a smaller and more limited income. If you haven’t down sized and need to, don’t wait until you are trapped in a corner with no way out…nothing wrong with down sizing…

The Trump administration has this right about the Corona virus by trying to contain it before it gets out of hand. The Powers That Were are desperately trying to crash the entire economic and social system and Trump is staying one step ahead by mitigating the worst of it. Things are going to get rough, but they are not going to get impossible! Thank God that we are not so dependent on the rest of the world as we used to be…things could be a lot worse…we will get through this, but it is real…a game changer…

As far as the health concerns and social isolation…its a smart and strategic move that will save lives by keeping things more manageable, by making sure that medical facilities are not overwhelmed…don’t worry about the bad stuff…we can sort that out later! Right now let’s save the BabyBoomers! Chuckle…they have some good energy which we need right now!
